Most of these OEMs have low budget phones that are on par with the best from Tecmo, Infinix, et al. Nigerians are blinded by the Megapixels they are enticed with by Tecno and Infinix without knowing the quality of a camera isn't just on the Megapixels it comes with.

Xiaomi has some phones around the 60k mark. People should learn to expand their horizons.

All these 'bezeless phones' Why do I feel like this kind of design will rush back in the same way they are rushing out. True bezeless phones have their cons and why top dogs like Samsung and Apple haven't jumped into it.

1. Moving parts are prone to getting damaged easily. Phones with pop up camera have mechanical moving parts and will fail easily than phones without moving parts.

2. Waterproofing: Ever wondered why all these phones with moving cameras have no any kind of IP rating? Yes, with moving parts its difficult to get waterproofing

3. Case: Just how are u going to get a case for Oppo Find X with that moving camera? Its still understandable with the VIVO NEX as a cut out can be made at the top, but good luck with the Oppo. The Oppo Find X is a good looking phone, but a bad idea. We are going to see high rate of failures. Drop that phone and the sliding mechanism fails, then u are screwed as u won't be able to unlock the phone with any form of biometrics as the phone doesn't even have a fingreprint sensor.

Its good sha let these Chinese companies take the risk, while Google, Samsung, Apple wait and see the one that actually works.

Funny guy. I actually agree with you partially. Now these phone manufacturers actually do drop tests on these phones before releasing them. I watched the drop tests done on the Vivo NEX with moving camera and it held up pretty well. You're wrong about Apple not joining the race for bezeless phones, the iPhone X is actually Apple's attempt to make a bezeless phone. Don't be surprised to see the next series of iPhones coming being released with pop-up cameras

I don't think Apple will make a phone with pop up camera. Apple dropped the mechanical home button from the iPhone 7, why then would they go the way of mechanical camera. It doesn't make sense. iPhone x is their attempt of bezeless phone. Moreover to get the best camera u need space for those lenses to fit in, this is why the iPhone has some camera hump. Using a pop up camera means less space for the lenses which translates to poorer images. And then there is reliability. It's cool to have a pop up camera but u are sacrificing reliability. Forget drop tests, let's see the result in real life usage.

Oppo find x looks way cooler, but it's a bad idea with a very good execution. When that mechanism fails u lose ur face unlock and then no fingerprint.

The pop-up camera is the only solution to removing the notch at the top of the phone, that's why I said Apple may release pop-up cameras in the future. I agree with you on the Oppo FIND X. Its the most beautiful phone on the list

And of what use does removing the notch bring other than aesthetics. Instead u lose reliability, water resistance, better camera and stereo speakers. Forget this with Apple, not gonna happen. Apple are the only company that make iphones, they control their market so they have no reason to go this route.
