My sister got the PRESSID foreign scholarship under Jonathan and travelled out.

I should have applied too but I decided not to wreck her chance and wait for the next batch, only for buhari the scumbag to come into power and cancel the whole thing claiming that southerners are benefiting most.

I have never benefited one single thing from this buhari administration.

I hate corruption and nepotism and I am a die hard Buhari supporter. I will vote for Buhari this next elections. If I ever get FG appointment, using my influence to get as many young people employed would be one of my main goals in office.
If some one I respect (my pastor, uncle, lecturer, ex boss, traditional ruler) sends me a business card with a note that says; "help this young struggling graduate", i will do it at all costs.
Nepotism is evil but there is a fine line between the evil and the good. Helping someone in an unfair manner is evil but ALL countries, all social systems, all economic systems are nepotic.
GOD is himself partial to his children.
Let me shock everyone by saying that it is the partiality of GOD that makes you and I wake up every morning to praise him.

I have criticized PDP government severally but one thing I have never blamed GEJ's clueless and corrupt government for is the thousands of cases of nepotism they perpetrated in every government ministry and MDA. Many lives were touched and we started having Niger Delta and SE people representation in the civil service. That is not a bad thing at all.

Sometimes I don’t blame these our politicians and public office holders ,when you have a first hand experience what these people go through on a daily basis and the number and amount of people that flood their homes and offices in search of favours ,employment you start to wonder .Some have even turned it into a daily routine to just go to their offices to sit from 8am to 6pm .The money used to host them alone is enough for this guys to be corrupt

All the people accepted are qualified. I don't know where you guys get the erroneous impression that helping people implies they were not qualified in the first place. What is merit?
The best graduates in Nigeria are working in oil and gas, consulting, banking, universities, civil service and the military in that order. If you feel strongly about this railway sector job, you yourself dont have much merit.
It is a fxxking government sector, unexciting assignment. Maybe at some point this will grow into a major industry and it will be an exciting career but if it goads you so much now, you are actually fighting over crumbs at the table and you don't know.

Any scholarships or job advertisements that involves government, they will frustrate you if you don't know anybody. My neighbour told me in 2012 when he applied to DPR they told him and his father; "do not waste your time, they will never employ him". Most of all this saboteurs are government officials which the president or governor might not know about it.

The day I fear this country, was the day a journalist Babajide Kolade-Otitoju said, "some people that works for the government would carryout project or assignment without the president or the minister privy to it". As you have said, their aides or SA or PA might be the one that used their names.

Nepotism is nepotism. You sound as someone who is ready to compromise merit on the basis of man-know-man. The best one could do is to support people you know with a letter of reference only if it is allowed. Nigerians want to live the good life but are not ready to do away with the evils that has continue to condemn them to the abyss of poverty.
