Nice one at @op, unfortunately, there are no jobs in this country.
There's one thing I believe, any man created by God, has a hidden potential, which he/she can use to make wealth. all that's required is the ability to discover it.
Well said, u spoke my mind!

True!!

So so true!!

Nigerians are so so behind globally in everything they do

Let me break it down.

In america and advanced countries.. (Excluding those who are into drugs), One thing that they do is from the tender age of like 17 (they even take underage pay cuts) they are already working (Even while studying) could be macdonald's, Topshop etc.. they building their skills and their CV's by the time they are 30 you notice they have a RICH CV since they have probably worked for the past 10years of their respective lives from there they are easily eased into the good jobs and they are brilliant at what they do..

But come down to Nigeria, this morning as im talking to you.. there is a Girl from Lekki planning to hit Eko hotel and suites either to phuck one G-Boy or to sleep with one alahji or to slay with Eko atlantic hotel's background for the instagram to hustle
Its that pathetic to note that there 70% of Nigerian youths today have never worked one day in their entire lives (ONE DAY)
Quote me and quote the thunder that would fire you too angry

Nigeria youths esp girls and social media grin
The future is really scary grin grin grin
Many slay mama's and papa's aint got no handjobs, no skills, book them no know, NO CV's and they are waiting on God to help them grin
I see alot of them disgracing and wasting their lives away.. They either call themselves Entrepreneurs (selling what Only God knows)
Others call themselves Hustlers and na them like money pass.. Nigerian youths need to do better, no one wants to develop the skills they need to better themselves tomorrow, u wont see them doing some kind of Jobs. Tell a SLAY mama that you work in a shop and she would curse you out but they want the thieves driving mercedes benz forgetting that they themselves havent worked a single day all their lives.. angry

NYSC nor be work so dont count that one among.. anyways sorry for the rant this thread makes too much sense. I rest my case angry
why is your post just bashing at women, many guys are in similar situations if not worse off

common sense is not common, There is no America, Jerusalem, Mecca nor greener pastures anywhere. Graduates if you are not lazy, challenge urslf to go into farming. Go and start a poultry farm, fishery or other livestock or crop production. With 7k, u can start a business. with 20k or 30k or 50k or 70k, u can do alot here in Nigeria or anywhere else and live a life of financial independence and stop been a liability.

If anybody is promising you any free or lofty promises then ur fooling urslf. Start something with your hands and legs if you know you are not lame, handicap nor dumb
please how do I start poultry.

Fortunately, there are jobs in this country because lots of people are getting employed daily. So why say no job?

Potentials yes, but while some environment encourage the discovery and growth of these potentials, some like ours discourage it. Ever wondered why we have more talents springing up in western countries more than ours?

We are in a country where if you aint tied to a 9-5 job ya useless and your education wasted.

Simply put, whatever you find your hands, legs, head, tummy mouth grin grin grin etc good at, keep doing it because success honors only the stubborn.
And who is creating d Job.

I know ur type.

If u don't have any meaningful thing to contribute,u shot up.

listen brov ,the problem is not the youths,is the employers, how would a shop making over 200k profit monthly be paying a sales person working from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday even Sundays sef, just 8k monthly, that's wickedness, you see a big private school with almost1000 students and their school fees reach almost 50k de pay teachers (graduates o) less than 30k some 20k sef ,,9ja get jobs but d salary structure is heart breaking

If you aint so enslaved in your cubicle of ignorance, maybe...just maybe you would have been open minded enough to know that people are getting jobs daily.

You don't know my type because if you do, you would have been better off than you are right now.

Now take a moment and read your post again, did you make any sense? Cool, I thought as much.

Now you have got my attention.

I totally disagree with your second point. So you want someone to stay at home waiting for the right job when you know you can start from the small one awaiting the big one. Who is going to give you money for up keep during the period of waiting. Abi na sand you go chop.

Although I'm broke,i don't think I belong to the average graduates.

1. I never looked up to anyone. I still don't. I'm a one man army.

2. I hardly apply for jobs. If I do, I tend to resign too soon even without finding another one

3. I never applied to any govt job. Even my housemanship, I didn't bother to apply to govt hospitals.

4. I have diverse skills and learned them during that 6 months strike of 2012.. I thank ASUU for that strike because I can be independent cos of these skills.

My guys will be look.. "there's an opening at eko hospital oo, Bonny camp sef Don open".. For some unknown reasons I don't always consider it...

Although I'm broker than my colleagues now.. What I can say is that in the future I will be better than I am.

My advice to students is "pick up a skill. Assume there are no jobs and you determine your life. Don't build your future on the dreams of another (a company).

Not everyone can be an entrepreneur sha

Nice one op!
I have a relation who holds a Bsc in Microbiology. She has not gotten a job running to 3years now since she finished NYSC.She came up with the idea of going into ICT to add to her prowess and boost her cv but unfortunately she has very little knowledge of it she's confused what she can do and how to go about it.She resides in Ondo. Please advice.
Dude tell her to focus on web development. How elated companies (esp the staff) are when they see a female developer. ICT is the future. Some people have dumped their degree, cert, license for ICT because they can see the future.

Tell her to hone up on her skills.

Let her begin with html and move on to CSS.

Note that ict is not Microsoft word and excel ooo

that there is the bane of Nigeria's and by extension, Africa's progress

QUICK MONEY

It has destroyed the psyche of the country

even those who manage to open businesses want to be making profit margin of 50% upwards PER MONTH from the first month of operation

A lot needs to be done to reorientate that country
