lanaVello:Which emotions are we putting aside? It is absolutely wrong for a country claiming to be secular based on the constitution to be practicing sharia law at the Federal level. It is very unacceptable for a country whose citizens are multi-religious to be using tax of all citizens for paying salaries of Muslim-only sharia judges Why can't the "certain Nigerians" pay the salaries of their own sharia Kadis? This is purely religious injustice and it MUST BE STOPPED BY WELL MEANING NIGERIANS |

TrumpedL:Because the whole Sharia system is like a culture to them actually, we've inheritance, family and other non-religious matters governed by Sharia principles. So it's not just jihad, war, behead like most of us fear, lol Why are you not complaining about customary courts at the federal level? Even though the customs guiding these courts might seem absurd to some people. Btw,there are grand Kahdis up in the Court of Appeal too,are you saying we should sack them all as well |

TrumpedL:. Stop what There are so many laws in Nigeria which diariefadenning:Stop what FG do not pay the salaries of kadies or customary court judges. It pays the salaries of judges of this appellate courts because it exercises exclusive jurisdiction to the exclusion of any other court. |

ariefadenning:I didn't mention customary court judges so DON'T change the narrative. You're a big LIAR for saying FG do not pay salaries of Khadis. |
| Re: CJN Bars Judges From Uploading Personal Pictures On Social Media by Nobody: 12:23pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
lanaVello:You're still not getting it. Yes, Sharia system is a culture to "them" as clearly stated by you. Since it's a culture to them, then they should take responsibility by bearing the financial cost of sharia system. Why should the FG be using tax payers' money of all religious adherents including non-religious Nigerians to be paying salaries and other running costs of Islamic judicial system? What is the religion or tribe of customary court judges? Customary court judges are made up of all Nigerians whereas Khadis are made up of only Muslims. It is purely religious injustice for FG to be using taxes of all Nigerians for running a religious system like the Islamic judicial system. If Khadis must remain at federal level, then FG must deduct from allocation of sharia states to fund the system. WELL MEANING NIGERIANS MUST SEE TO ACHIEVING THIS THIS INJUSTICE MUST STOP! |
| Re: CJN Bars Judges From Uploading Personal Pictures On Social Media by Nobody: 12:46pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
TrumpedL:Lol...Go and read PART I of chapter VII of the 1999 CONSTITUTION of FRN, Sharia courts do not form part of federal courts. Its a state court financed by the state governments covered under part II of same chapter VII. Only the salaries of Kadis and Grand kadis of the sharia court of appeal like their counterpart of the customary courts of appeal is being paid by the FG. GET THIS INTO YOUR HEAD AND STOP FANNING THE EMBERS OF SECTIONAL AND RELIGIOUS DISHARMONY. |
| Re: CJN Bars Judges From Uploading Personal Pictures On Social Media by Nobody: 12:57pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
ariefadenning:Don't even try to use that stupid line for me "Stop fanning the embers of sectional and religious disharmony" Who's fanning the embers of religious disharmony here; the FG that is using my tax to pay Islamic Khadis or me that is pointing out the INJUSTICE? Do you think I belong to those you can confuse with unintelligent narrative? Why are you comparing Khadis of Sharia Court of Appeal with judges of Customary Court? Anybody can be a customary court judge regardless of religious affiliation whereas only Muslims are Khadis. If Sharia Court of Appeal must continue to be at Federal level then FG must deduct from allocation of sharia states to fund the system |
| Re: CJN Bars Judges From Uploading Personal Pictures On Social Media by Nobody: 1:29pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
TrumpedL:Bear in mind that Sharia courts of appeal and the customary courts of appeal are of same hierarchy in our judicial system, thus the comparison. Customary courts do not exist in all states of the federation like the states that adopt the sharia law. This States resources are also used to fund the customary courts of appeal. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. I recommend that you pick an elementary textbook on the Nigerian Legal System so you, be better informed on the workings of the judiciary. |
| Re: CJN Bars Judges From Uploading Personal Pictures On Social Media by Nobody: 1:42pm On Jun 26, 2018 |
ariefadenning:Stop using this bullshit line for me; always changing the narrative. Yes, customary courts are not present in all states but they are not restricted to a particular religion unlike sharia courts that is solely for Muslims. Nigeria legal system operates two conflicting law at the Federal level (civil law and sharia law) and that will STOP. Watch and see! |
