Please has anyone successfully rooted his gionee x1s? I can't even find anything worthy online. I'd appreciate your responses.. .

I might be able to help you but you need the following

A pc (with enough storage to accommodate your ROM backup which is probably 29-30GB)
Some files to download
The desire to see it through (I don't like teaching people that doesn't know what they want)
Technical know-how (I can simply this part if you are not familiar with the technical terms)
Patience
