Congrat and enjoy cannyland.

It's PPR guys, see timeline below;

CRS: 463

AOR: April 4, 2018
MEP: April 12, 2018
IP1: April 12, 2018

Ghost Update: June 25, 2018
PPR: June 27, 2018

Just a brief highlight:

POF - Gift Deed (64%), while a fixed deposit account was opened with the entire POF. I got a reference letter from GTBank (thanks to my account officer whom I have never met, I simply sent a mail to her requesting the letter in IRCC format) and then added it to the fixed deposit certificate, as well as evidence of gift transfer, and a reference letter and statement from my PFA.

ECA - I made a mistake earlier which turned out to be in my favour, did my ECA with WES in October 2017 and friends advised it should have been with PEBC, but coming here I learnt if my NOC wasn't 3131 then I'm good to go with WES. My advise to pharmacists with only BPharm degree, please use PEBC (irrespective of your NOC) to gain points for professional degree.

IELTS - As per IELTS, I didn't find it easy at all. Listening humbled me big time but in all I give thanks to God and my lovely wife for her unflinching encouragement, her question after every attempt was "so babe when are you registering again?" smiley, giving up was never part of our options. My attempts below;

Aug. 2017 - 1st Attempt: L6.5, R6.0, W6.5, S7.5
Sep. 2017 - 2nd Attempt: L7.5, R7.5, W7.0, S7.5
Oct. 2017 - 3rd Attempt: L7.0, R7.0, W7.0, S7.5
Dec. 2017 - 4th Attempt: L7.0, R7.0, W7.0, S8.0
Jan. 2018 - 5th Attempt: L9.0, R7.0, W7.0, S8.0

You are still coming to ask? Okay o.
fizzile:
Talking about misrepresentation of POF, will it be wise for one to make some withdrawals after printing of bank statement? Lets say something comes up with requires some finance and you withdraw some money after printing your statement of account. Whats the implication?

Congratulations and may the Maple land favour you and all yours.

Could you please give further details about your POF.

1) How close to your submission date did you get your gift deed and fixed deposit certificate?

2) When you mentioned "evidence of gift transfer". Did you include your SOA showing the transfer of the gift or you only used a Deed of gift?

Thank you and regards to your Super Woman.

Congratulations!! Also to all who have ITA

Tolz451:
To God be the Glory!!!

This journey started February 2015 but today PPR came through.

Made IELTS on the 4th attempt (14th Oct 2017)
ITA - 20 Dec 2017
AOR - 23rd Feb 2018
MEP - 5th March 2018
IP2 - 6th March 2018
RPRF - 24th March 2018 (Paid with IRCC Requesting)
GCMS Notes - filled with IRCC on 31st May 2018 having observed that people were getting PPR few weeks after ordering GCMS notes. Yet to get the notes itself.
Ghost Update - 18th June 2018
PPR - 25th June 2018

Challenges

1. I made IELTS at 4th attempt (Listening showed me pepper! 7.5 until the last attempt)
2. 70% POF was resident in my spouse's account
3. Got married 6th Dec 2014 but the marriage certificate given by the church looked dodgy (no certificate number), also, we didn't do a court marriage. My wife's change of name document wasn't done till April 2015. Considering all these, we had to book a date at Ikoyi Marriage Registry on 28th Dec 2018 (after obtaining ITA).
4. While creating the Profile, I included my wife's work experience but we had to remove it and include it in personal history Post- ITA as her employer wouldn't give the Reference Letter in CIC format.

I really can't tell it all but just using this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has contributed in making this forum so helpful.

Special thanks to all those who respond to questions irrespective of those questions being repetitive or plain stupid.

Thanks so much @kontagious.

God bless you all.

I pray it shall end in praise for everyone!!!

Congratulations to all ITA recipients!!!

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/proof-funds.html
The funds must be available both when you apply and when (if) we issue you a permanent resident visa. You must prove to an immigration officer that you can legally access them to use to settle here when you arrive.

(and when (if) we do an ADR for your POF). Please don't tamper with your POF.

my gurus in the house. please help a sister.

i just got ITA. i entered the pool as a divorcee. Now i never did change of name. However, when our divorce was finalized, my name was used as maiden name - married name. because the judge claimed they cant issue a divorce with my name as a 'miss'.

My question now is, under my personal details in my express entry pool. they asked if i have used another name other than my current name. do i need to say "yes"? and what document would i need to provide?

please can someone help with this?

Answer YES if you ever changed your name during marriage, after marriage or NO if u didn't. Put the different names and the very ones on your passport as your current name. Provide your divorce certificate!

No two or more certificates etc for u. WES will still demand your OND or IJMB or NCE to complete everything as Bachelor of science. Read it on their site, it is there. So get them the diploma early enough oh. This is because you don't have 100level part of ur B.Sc transcript.

Thank you very much. We have decided to go with another ECA...ICAS as IQAS takes too long. Anybody have any feedback from ICAS ?my wife has a Diploma which you use to gain direct entry to 200level for a B.Sc in Computer Science

The answer should be YES, because you used a different name (maiden name + ex name) during the divorce process. I don't think it really matters that you never officially changed your name. Better to declare it and maybe explain in 2 lines in your LOE to avoid confusion as they will definitely spot the other name in the divorce certificate as you must submit that.

Kindly help with the contact. I applied for my two kids, passports have not shown for about a month. ITA deadline is looming. Please help me. I will PM you ASAP.

aworldcitizen:
Are you in Lagos?

I paid only 5K to process/fast track my toddlers owns in January @ Ikoyi's.

How I did it.

I did most of the preliminary process myself. I logged on the passport office website, filled all the forms, made all the payments with my card (10,750). I printed out all the forms, bought the brown jacket file, make sure you print all forms including the one for parents/guardian.

Go with the fathers own international passport plus either drivers license /voters card/national ID care , passport picture of both father and baby. Also go with a letter of consent from the father , permitting to process international passport for the baby.

Don't answer all those Agbero's. Act as if you have an agent inside.

Go into the passport complex, go to room 4 with your file for signing, and let your begging begin. Make sure you go with your baby.

Beg the officers that you don't have an agent, and you don't have money. Appeal to them that you have done all the preliminary stage and that they should just help you with the signing and fast tracking.

I got favoured and my baby was able to do his capturing that day, I came back by day 3 for his passport. I have a contact detail I can send to you if you want.

Please do not lie concerning your application. Are you aware that you lot can have your permanent residence revoked in the future if it comes out that you had lied/misrepresented certain facts in your FSW application.

Dear Stonecold and others above,

Thanks for ur advice. We have decided to use the Insurance agent NOC route. The designated NOC is 6231. . She can get reference from them

Working as a lawyer for 3 years and someone else working as a school teacher for 3 years is the same 3 years in CIC journey. No one is bigger than the other. Please take out time and read page 0 of this thread for better understanding. I don't know anything about CIC storing transmitted information or not so I cant tell if editing your work history will favour you or not. However, I would simply advise that you kukuma delete your profile and start afresh.

We are withdrawing the profile and creating a new one to avoid issues.

Your Mrs has 1 year experience in the law firm.

Technically, its actually 9 months and she does not want to go asking for reference there coz of her experience while working there especially with her boss who is the owner of the chambers.

Let her state her job description for the Insurance marketing role and people will help her pinpoint an appropriate NOC code that goes with it.
How many years has she worked in the Insurance marketing role? Whatever decision you choose to go along with, just ensure you don't put yourself in trouble due to misrepresentation. Good luck

She has worked there since october 2016. Someone also mentioned something about 2 NOCs, can someone expantiate on this.

Hello @fizzle, don't take it the wrong way. We just need to be careful about the type of comments or questions we ask online to avoid unnecessary "exposure". Besides, if you wanted to sample opinions you shouldn't have asked privately first before coming on the thread, it undermines whatever response she had given you. Not nice in my own opinion.

Seniors in the house please address this from your experience. I don't think it should be an issue sha, but let the experience ones agree or disagree.

For me, I think its good to be on the safe side and not tamper with your POF. So while I can spend from the money, I ensure my POF does not fall below what CIC requires of me. At least this is what I'm practising. Let others weigh in.

I've read on the post PPR thread where some people are asked for their proof of funds on arrival in Canada.

Good one. Pity circumstance wouldn't allow her use the law firm but nothing spoil. It remains your choice.

Sir, please visit page 0 and click the blue link "the following people's timeline helped in answering some frequently asked questions"
