PMB has promised to uplift the country through economic revival, signs of that are becoming obvious by the day.

Heavy duty equipments are seen moving to Baro Port for the completion of Baro Inland Water Port.

When completed, the port will create over 2M jobs

Thank you Baba.

If Baro inland water port is completed it will create over two million jobs to the teeming youths. It will help with the decongestion of Lagos ports. Northern Nigeria is land-locked with no single sea port, however if Baro port is actualized transportation hiccups would be drastically reduced.

Revenue will increase and millions dollars in foreign exchange will also be saved. Even the agricultural revolution will get a massive boost.

FG assures speedy completion of Baro River Port

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha has assured the Niger State Government that the Baro River Port is receiving a speedy attention by the Federal Government towards ensuring that it is commissioned this year.
The SGF stated this when he received Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello in his office.

He also assured that all procurement processes are already completed and that the Central Bank of the Nigeria (CBN) has issued Letter of Credit while manufacturers have so far been committed.

“Giving the great economic importance of the Baro Port to the country, discussion on it resonated at the recent commissioning of the Dry Inland Cargo Port at Kaduna by Mr. President,” Mustapha said.

The governor in his remarks harped on the importance of the project and corroborated the assurance given by the SGF that the Baro River Port is getting a desired attention.

He also said that he was in the SGF Office to congratulate him on his appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

You said it all. The only thing that's stopping the port from opening is the access road and it needs to be concessioned. The state government should be pushing for it to be concessioned at same time as Onitsha.

Boro is in Niger state. Is the water connected to other countries or what. Can goods be imported via the port instead of via Lagos route? Also which 1 is water inland port.
