As in ehn, I'm beginning to suspect BC as regards sending EOR for remark. After 12 weeks of waiting and intense followup, I decided to visit their office yesterday, I was told it wasn't ready blah blah. The guy promised to check the status and revert as soon as the EOR is back. To my greatest surprise, I got back to the office few minutes later to see their email waiting for me. The attached letter was dated 26th June, which was same yesterday. Please help me ask BC where the EOR came out from within that short period of time. You would have deduced that the EOR came back unchanged.

Registering for another IELTS test tomorrow unfailingly. It will end in praise.

Thanks bro. I did actually while waiting for my EOR from BC. Got 6.5 again in writing. I requested for remark immediately, but selected speaking as well to be on the safe side, according to Newmum0016. Unfortunately, writing came back unchanged but speaking brought back my 46k. I'll shoot my shot again, hopefully it's going to be the last to get me the desired scores.

@Divinegifts does the question say Place of issue or country of issue? I reckon that they are 2 different things. Arent you allowed to choose Nigeria? I just looked at the screen shots of the pages of my pre-ITA profile and all I was required to input was passport number, country/territory of issue, issue date and expiry date. Don't know if it has changed. Nigeria has to be on the list of options. Read this. Slightly different scenario,, but most likely still applies.

Let others shook mouth sha.

@newmum0615 and jemulsboy, thanks for your response. Makes sense now

@gbemiigbal: Please i am still awaiting your response as regards your contact in Ekiti state university.i understand that it might be a little difficult to share such information especially if the contact is not in support of it. i actually got in contact with someone who said it would cost me 45,000 naira to process the transcript and send to WES through a reputable courier service while it would cost me 35,000 naira to process and send through nipost (regular). pls i just want to know if he is giving me the right information or just want to take advantage of me. plus, was the school able to respond to WES on time in confirming that the transcript was sent by them.
patiently awaiting your response as it is crucial in my decision making

If you look at the data page of the passport you'll see the place/country of iss I know that Nigerian passports issued in the US have place/country of issue as the US.
Let us know what's in the data page.
I believe your option should be No. 1.

No confusion here. The country of issue is Nigeria because its issued by the Nigerian Government. The place of issue can be Ikoyi, UK, US or even Mars sef.

Hello, Is it that if someone does not score 8 in IELTS listening the chances of succeeding in the Express Entry program is slim?

Thanks

You need @ least 8777 in LWSR to stand a better chance but if you have canada experience, <30yrs, canada study, canada siblings etc, you can get a chance with 7.5 in listening but its always advisable to aim to @least 8 in listening and 7 in others.

You are certainly not sincere with your position as she had trashed out this topic twice in the last 2weeks with the recent being yesterday's afternoon. Let's be committed to searching for information here especially when someone is pointing you to where to get your answers. See the screenshot of her yesterday's post on your question type.
Enjoy.

So after explaining the whole EE and PR process to the same person for like the 5th time, I finally used admission process to explain:

IELTS = GCE/NECO
ECA = WASSC
Apply for EE = Apply for JAMB
Express Entry Draw = write JAMB
ITA = Letter of Admission
Apply for PR = Clearance
Landing = Matriculation

After about 16 weeks of EOR, and response mail was sent to me the day i called their contact centre. The lady on phone earlier told me it was not ready, but i received the mail about 1hr after the call. Unchanged of cos

So it's almost as if they do not bother to contact people whose results remain unchanged. That's poor practice

In addition the UK High Commission is officially Nigerian territory. A country's mission abroad is effectively its territory. That's why getting married in our commission abroad is equal to getting married in Nigeria. [s]Once you step foot in your embassy abroad, you're standing on local soil[/s]. (common misconception corrected: an embassy has special status and privileges but is still hosted on local territory).

That means if I give birth to my baby inside American Embassy, my baby is an American citizen straight. grin

wrong. she is wrong. she doesn't truly understand what she is saying. The Vienna convention on diplomatic relations 1961 is usually miscontrued to imply embassies are sovereign territories of the sending nation, but it is a misconception. If you read Articles 21-25 of it, which bothers on embassies, you would understand that it only relates to the inviolabilty of the territory by the host nation, it is not ceding, and can not be claimed to have a different territorial identity in any sense. and that is why giving birth in a U.S embassy would not accord the baby U. S citizen status. Matter of fact there has been precedence for this already, i think it was in kenya that a woman went into the U. S consulate and delivered in their toilet and was pressing in futility for her baby to be accorded citizenship.

U.S. military installations abroad and U.S. diplomatic or consular facilities abroad are not part of the United States within the meaning of the 14th Amendment. A child born on the premises of such a facility is not born in the United States and does not acquire U.S. citizenship by reason of birth.
