There is no contradiction here. Yes you did not deserve the penalty! If he had use the VAR, I am certain he would have cancelled the penalty. That was the referee's mistake. For that Rojo's handball, the referee specifically went to check the VAR if that handball was intentional. You did not deserve that first penalty. Argentina were poor but they were better than your players. The two goals they scored were clear.
