Happy sunday everybody. Its good bringing this issue on a day like this (sunday). Those things may only change if CAN criminalise and tell them that xtianity forbids it,but otherwise they will keep on doing it and go to church on Sundays to pay tithe.

First of all Prostitution is mostly illegal in Nigeria , But i still don't know why people venture into it , i know people are suffering , but really ? what about hard labor ? what about learning a trade ? some of these people didn't bother to go to school at all talk less of being able to help themselves ( not like going to school is automatic job or something)

Selling body for money is a matter of choice , it's hardly circumstantial , choice may be greed, it may be pressure, it may be emotional or whatever but it's still a matter of choice ,

To all the ladies in the house ... i mean the Oloshos , try to invest in yourself, not make up and std medicine or anti retroviral drugs , get something doing . men will always need your services , but Olosho for 5 years who doesn't even own a shop ?? if it's ordinary wig and nails you'll be selling there ,

As for Ritualists , Since una don dey do am Una don get money reach Dangote ??

Funny you are saying this, a very high percentage of Nigerian females is Selling their body for money. Actually a lot of them do not stand on the road. Actually they feel their body is a Gold mine. Men do not have a choice, so we need to work hard for every penny.

6.5 outta 10 Women in Nigeria has sold their body for money at some point. Most times its temporary.

When a man pays bride price , among other things, what is he paying for? Modern women have made it such that men must pay for sex one way or another, prostitute or not.
How can you compare brideprice with prostitution, are you okay?

They visit to interact and get stories. The same way undercover cops mix with men of the underworld. Journalists, private detectives and writers do this to uncover things. You can't write properly about some certain things without carrying out a field research.

Chika Unigwe's novel On Black Sisters' Street is on some prostitutes in Belgium. She actually had to live and make friends with them to understand a lot about black prostitutes living in Germany.

But that is how people pay bride price too, especially in some regions. You will see a lot of negotiations and even fighting, as if the man is paying for a cow.

Why not suggest an alternative method of interacting with the prostitutes freely to get info? You just post a shallow reply like that.

Wooow.....
I’m saddened by the comments I’ve read so far. Prostitute or not, these people deserve to be protected also.
The NPf should set up a special unit dedicated to ending the scourge of ritual killings in Nigeria. It does not only affect prostitutes.

My friend’s dad has been missing for 2 years now.

My childhood friend’s (a man) dismembered body was found in Edo State. His vitals were missing.

When I was a child growing up in the village, I remember vividly one time we were at the stream and a group of men with machetes came and started snatching children. We all ran like hell. Then I didn’t know what was going on but now I know those guys were ritualists preying on poor children in remote areas.

Please Nigerians, let’s join hands together and end this scourge. The fact that it’s prostitutes today, does not mean it cannot be you or someone you know tomorrow.

They are offering a service which is in high demand. Simple economics.

Let them be!

It's an essential service na. If not, then it would not be in demand. While you are slapping the woman, do so to the man. She doesn't sleep with herself.
