Heheh..Uruguay was as good as the best team untill the met France and became humble..is it that difficult for you guys to just applaud England and rest? Why castigate every team that lose to England and shout England are just lucky?
I would have applauded them if today's game was half as convincing as Begium's win yesterday. Today's game was crap and no one can say the win was as a result of a quality play.

Bloody lucky bastard English. A smooth ride all the way to the World Cup Semi final. I think this is where the luck ends. I am not impressed with performance.

Even in the gathering of fools, one is the wisest.. So Sterling being the 2nd best English player shows how average the team is. Again you have me mistaken for the guy who compared rashford and sterling..

Lol e no mean bro

Best Spanish forward last season was iago aspas, does that make the Spanish average
Re: Sweden Vs England: World Cup (0 - 2) On 7th July 2018 by Iamgrey5(m): 5:04pm On Jul 07, 2018
Sweden prevented Italy from coming to the world cup

Held the Germans for nearly 90 minutes

Trashed Mexico

Sneaked past the swiss (the swiss who were on a winning streak)

Nonetheless, they look lackluster against a very average English side

But.......... They were never behind in any of those games they won. They always scored the first goal and made the game a living hell on counter attacks for their opponents. Ask the swiss who eventually finished their last game with ten men.

Fun fact : England have now scored 11 goals in this tournament and more than half of those goals came from set pieces.

60% of the goals in the first round of the world cup came from set pieces

4 out of the African sides at the world cup all lost their first games due to set pieces making the rest of the world cup a little bit that difficult for them .

Football is changing, it has become about goals and not talent or skills

Score the first goal like Sweden or England and defend very well, and an ordinary/average team can go far in modern football.

All I see are haters. Why do you guys hate England this much?

Sweden are no pushovers. They got to this stage by qualifying ahead of Germany, Italy and Holland. You are only as strong as you opponent allows you play. It shows England is quite strong.

Nope. A name doesn't make you belong to a specific nationality. He denounced his father and is considering dropping his Nigerian name. Therefore he is 100% English.

so he is a Nigerian

His dad his Nigerian not him. Even the wikipedia article you quoted called him English lol. He is a mediocre player anyways.

https://amp.pulse.ng/sports/football/dele-alli-yoruba-football-star-cut-ties-his-father-kehinde-id7942573.html

From the same wiki: "In the summer of 2016, Dele elected to stop wearing the name "Alli" on his match shirts because he felt no connection with the Alli family name, instead opting for 'Dele'."

You haters of England, keep quite there. Football is always like this, when u face stiff opponent, your style of play and tactics changes, this is how you guys will keep hating and calling them overhyped till they enter the finals

It's a pity England have good chance of being in the finals but Croatians, France or Belgium will be waiting to expose them as 'frauds' that they are. The goal margin might be embarrasing for them.

There is nothing much to write because the Swedish team to me are just fortunate to be in the quarterfinals. Of course we can give Kudos to one or two strikers in the team but then they did not do much to cause a goal.

Pickford, the English goal keeper really really surprised me, he stopped one or two attempts from the the Swedish strikers. Pickford is a determine goal keeper, I think whenever the game get to penalties after extra times, one can count on him.

No goal for kane today, I believe the guy is influencing his fellow team mates positively in the attack. I like the way they were so slow in the attack which eventually resulted into the second goal.

This English team has been so fortunate because people did not really give them this chance of getting to the last four of world cup 2018.

It is over for the Swedish team and to the English team I say congratulations for getting to the semifinals.
