This is a big lie!!! Garba Shehu said we are generating more electricity than we can use. If we are currently generating 93mw then it means we are using only 40mw.

I thought our Honourable Minister said their responsible government can fix power in six months. Moreover, power generation isn't rocket science cry
it is high time we begin to weigh the caliber and mental capacity of people during campaigns, how a lawyer can spew such nonsense about Electricity is beyond me.
He knows absolutely nothing about the power sector.

How I wish the youths could just put tribal and religious sentiments aside and come together to vote a young capable person. If that would be done , Nigeria would be great , we have a lot of smart people scattered all over the world , I'm sure they would come back to fix this mess, I certainly would do it if all will be given positions on merits . Since power generation is becoming impossible, let the government start sensitising and encouraging the consumers to use other forms of alternative energy

Also, the government should help subsidize the prices of PV systems so it can be much more affordable and a large number of consumers can get off the grid
They actually increased tariff on PV systems and Malaria Drugs. It has been on the news. Our present government is worst than having no government. I had anticipated that the Federal Ministry of Information as well as Power Ministry will go on sensitization drive on the need to go solar, and even subsidize PV systems instead of Petrol, but trust me, this Government is out to cause more hardship.

It is better for a country not to have a President, than have the present type of Presidency.

I encourage everyone to go solar, even if it is one panel and one battery, and stop wasting money on petrol and diesel. No one needs to work damn too hard just to keep their homes lighted when the Sun energy is what powers the planet.

Story, govt wey never sensitized health and the most important things of life, na PV dey Wan give you. This oil is just punishment to Nigerians not a blessing at all. God will regret ever leaving oil here.

Jeez!! Bloggers and their click bate. ...
"“The line was fully restored by 3:15 pm Sunday and normal transmission of power also restored, yesterday,” .... Seems it was restored eventually?
Anyway... there are two transmission lines in Nigeria.... 33Kva built during OBJ era and the old 11kva lines.
Those on the 11Kva lines will continue to experience epileptic power supply for a long time to come. Those on 33Kva lines are those calling it "federal line". They are the ones enjoying a minimum 15Hrs light per day at the moment.
So when next you want to buy a property or rent one, ask the lines feeding that location. .. if you don't knw by the feeder, you should know by the transformer mounted in that location. If you can't decode the Kva of the transformer then ask the NEPA official around there with some #500 token. Don't get a property where its 11Kva and come here crying all over the place that there is no light in Nigeria. GenCos push their energy to 33Kva lines and NOT 11kva..

Let's assume they come together
How do u determine who is a young capable person
Young is by age
Capable is the jamb question
So u may assume a person is capable but on getting there he or she will fail
Buhari was thought to be capable
I guess u can see he isn't

Don't mind the useless government. European countries that hardly gets enough sunshine and with excess power supply yet the use of solar is popular yet Nigeria, a country with epileptic power supply and all year round sunshine, yet only a handful of people are using solar system!! Since I fixed solar system in my office, I immediately disconnected my PHCN connection and since then I have been enjoying 24/7 light without spending a Kobo again to either EEDC, the indigenes youth that always remove the fuse and claim that something got damaged which would require us to pay them to fix it, generator noise, fuel, generator maintenance, stress of using a generator etc. I'm surprised that Nigerians are yet to embrace solar system massively considering its numerous advantages.

What is the problem of the jobless aggressive lazy idiotic pigs of Biafra?

Because the grid just collapse in less than an hour,
They have started shouting failure.
Let's be truth to ourselves,
Did you notice the collapse.? No.

I am still enjoying the light right now.
Do you have to jut say something in order to praise your paymasters?
Sometimes, silence is best. Know when to speak and when to hold back. There is time for everything.
Power was not restored at my end till 12:07am July 9. Therefore, I also reserve my right to complain against that statement made by the TCN spokesperson. Besides, the several outages this year alone does not tell good tales about those in the Ministry of Power at the moment.

Meanwhile, I have a 5kva inverter and 8 solar panels for sale so you can enjoy uninterrupted power supply, like I did before batteries packed out. Check my ad.

Bro I tire of all these Dinos, it's embarasing to watch. I live in South Africa, you would be amazed that their parliament is dominated by youth and they are making waves. I've never seen a young politician here showing possessions on social media and the youth celebrating. If that happened in sure the citizens would demand for his or her resignation. I really wish we could grow out of this silly life of celebrating and protecting thieves angry.

33kva lines? huh Lines are not rated in power

33 and 11 kV lines are distribution lines and have no direct link with gencos. Transmission company feed d discos.

33kv feeders have constant supply as they are used for intercity distribution, hence connecting a transformer on the 33kv feeder will make the area have constant light but will need a step down transformer of 33/0.415kv rating unlike d 11/0.415kv disco commonly use
