F Sars accosted me on Sunday too. Told me to enter their Bus, I did. Asked me to identify myself, brought out my ID card and all and gave them. Asked for my phone - I gave them. I was just smiling. Me wey know say dem just dey waste their time. They saw I was confident and I coordinated myself wella so they didn't harass me at all. Asked me questions, I gave them answers.

When dem see say I be bad market, dem stop bus say make I come down. The one in front even told me to greet everybody at home oo.

What people don't know is your approach sef matters. No fear at all if e sure for you say nothing incriminating dey your body. Simple as ABC

What if they are not who they say they are? What if they are kidnappers?
I see no reason to ask someone to enter in their bus, they have no right to order you to enter inside the bus when you have been cooperative with them and gave them everything they asked for without any evidence of any crimevto arrest you.
The only reason they will want you to enter the bus is to extort money from you or even kidnap or kill you.
Police are not to be trusted in this country, essentially the ones that will just see you on the road and start searching you and your belongings.
Don't blame the young man, he also told a story of how they collected is only 2,000 in the past and he had to suffer to go home.

Well I entered their bus and they didn't extort money from me/kill me/kidnap me. This is not the first time I am being accosted. They can't be kidnappers. They have their F-Sars jackets and caps on. If while he was trying to run, he was shot nko?... If when he jumped from the bridge, he died nko, how he go tell story?

The annoying part was the guy raised his two hands up as a sign of surrender and humility yet the police man shot him on the chest and later went to shot at both side of his car to claim be shot the car and hit him. Eye witness gave account and the case is in court as we speak. Fear police for day time, Run from them if night meet you for outside and you ain’t home yet.

that Mile 2 you are right about it I came to Lagos from Abuja to do some transactions so I Went with my cousin brother because I don't know my way around Lagos that much so along the road my brother was walking ahead of me he was in the front with my brown file and big envelope so they stopped him was about to harass him so I step in the moment they saw I was with him they calm down and freed him without altering any word that's why I do tell people to always dress nice wear very good shirts and trousers don't go and wear t-shirt and jeans looking like one mum's boy

It's quite unfortunate how innocent citizens are being harassed, by members of the NPF, without justifiable cause. It reminds me of how God used me to secure the release of an innocent Engineer from net of SARS Headquarters... the brutal treatment of suspects I saw was unfathomable!

This act of reculcitrant victimization and abuse of the rights of citizen may not be unconnected with the entrench systemic corruption in the NPF. From reliable findings, every vehicle released for patrol is expected to generate substantial returns to their bosses at the top.

Premised on the above, the armed men on uniforms are under compulsion to arrest citizens on false accussations so as to exploit them through unlawful extortion (bail) of those without a voice!

In my opinion, this evil could be reduced to the bearest minimum by the collective efforts of citizens in establishing/funding of more human rights advocacy groups/organizations in Nigeria as a long-term solution. In the short-term, online advocacy against unlawful harrassment of citizens by the Police is the right thing to do!

Why can't we walk freely in our own "country" when we did not commit any crime?
Why must people be searched by the police while just walking on the way? To the extent of going through your phone, wallet and other valuables? If we are treated like these in Nigeria how much more in other countries.
