The Kaduna State High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the bail application of the leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky till August 2.

The court fixed August 2 following the arraignment of El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat, by the state government on Wednesday, reports Channels Television.

The Shiite leader and his wife were charged with eight counts bordering on culpable homicide, unlawful assembly, and disturbance of public peace, among other allegations.

Postponing justice

Nigeria is a messed up country. If your case is finally pushed to court after bribing the police, The nonentity judge will keep on postponing the case till eternity until you start begging them to close the case.

How long would they continue to bring business activities of Kaduna main city to a halt because of court trial?It is high time they adopted new security measures to ensure the safety of lives and property because this current security measure sends wrong signals to foreign investors and causes many losses to Kaduna economy.
