I applied on 4th July and I am suppose to be departing this Monday, 16th July. Have not yet gotten it.

I have finally saved up a Million naira plus to run a tourist visa to South Africa and Dubai

My statement of account is the 1million naira because I am a freelancer and been doing jobs for people

Schooled in Benin Republiq so I am not stepping in with a virgin passport

The agent who is running it for me is suggesting Kenya and Dubai but I need Sa and Dubai and couple of my guys did the same

Since u wana do it urslf..all u need is put ur paperworks together n wld cost u visa fee + vfs fee close to about 40k..

Dubai + SA u doubt if 1m naira wld do ...looking at d route lagos to joburg n joburg to dubai.dat route wld almost eat half of ur money...n have little to enjoy ur holidays in joburg n dubai

Well, I disagree with you on the comment ''that Home affairs will never give a visa that exceeds passport expiring date'' I'm currently using a Visa that spans beyond my passport expiration date with almost a year.

Home affairs will never give you a visa that extends your passport expiry. Why would you need two more years? What are you studying? Anyways, your best bet is to apply now and get a visa till your passport expires. I don't know how getting a new passport works if the old one has not expired.

It won't affect you. I know someone that only evaluated his MSC alone and he is currently doing his PhD in SA.

Please I am a completely new here and though I have taken my time to read quite a number of the posts here (and gained a lot), yet I still have need for further clarifications.

I recently got an admission for PhD, for which funding will be provided by a sponsor, and wish to apply for the SA study visa but need to know . . .
1. If the Yellow fever certificate will suffice for medicals or I need to do other medicals?
2. If the yellow card will not suffice, which hospitals are accredited for me to take my medicals (either Abuja or Lagos) and approximate costs?
3. What is the likely sum to be paid at VFS office as visa application and other fees?
4. Please also assists with Hotels in Cape Town that do not require upfront payment.

Sincere apologies if these questions look to be taking pple back.

Nice forum we’ve got here. I need advice.

I am in the process of applying for an SA tourist visa. This is my second visit and in both instances I am attending a company sponsored conference. I believe my visa should not be a problem.

This time I want to apply for spouse as accompanying me, considering he only has to pay for his flight and local transport, how much funds does he need to have in his account.
Currently both our accounts are not funded, but has minimal activity. My company uses an agent and he says his account needs to show available funds and when I mentioned a fixed deposit we have, he says it will not work because it means the funds are not available for use.

Another option is to wait till month end when salaries would be paid to print statement (although it will shorten the time available for the visa process). But will it raise red flag?

Also do we need to make an appointment at Lagos VGDnoffice. Last time I did the whole process myself and I don’t recall having to make an appointment.

I need this advice from experts I the House.

That's not a red flag. With your travel experience i don't think they might inquire much on your account. When i submitted my application this year, i transferred N300k into my account, yet i was issued the visa.
What is required is a genuine cash flow and tie.

Hi, please could you educate me here. Which policy? All my travels to SA have been via booking.com

Even the most recent application in May this year. I never had issues even at the point of entry except for the query why I booked one night instead of the number of days I intend staying.
