Please guys must we grind our uda, ehuru and uziza seed or we can bring them along like that.

My mum doesn't want me to grind them so they can retain their flavour and am kinda worried.

Please advise.

Even if you grind them and put them in a ziploc, they will still be fresh. Just ensure whatever you're bringing is properly labelled in a transparent ziploc - I included the English and botanical names when I travelled. Ensure they are dry too, my mum brought over ogili as well without any issues, just in case you want to bring those.

There is also this pepper soup spice that is basically Uda and uziza its sold for 100 naira or thereabouts and very well packaged by the manufacturers, you can get those too, no issues.

Hey guys! I'm in Melbourne, visiting from Wellington, I'm here for a few days on some work related stuff but also using the opportunity to check out the city, because I'm hoping to move back to Aus in a few months and trying to decide which one of my firm's office I want to transfer to - Adalaide or Melbourne. I've lived in Adelaide for about a week and have my bother there, really chill place. But this Melbourne is more my style, big city and lots to do, you guys have traffic here sha and lots of construction going on.

I googled african barbers and found one in footscray, took the train there...southern cross station is busy as. Infact everyone in Melbourne seems to be in a hurry to get somewhere, but it's been nice seeing a lot more diversity here than in Wellington. I saw yam in footscray, I was so happy bought 1 tuber, cost 20 dollars, but the yam is really good, all those very white ones that when you cut them are a bit slimy. I've only seen big coco yam (ede bu ji in igbo) in NZ.

I'm liking Melbourne so far, will go see seaworld and some other places over the weekend before leaving. See photo of my yam which I'm getting ready to cook with egg sauce and fry some later. Chai...wish I could take this back to NZ and make porridge.

Hi Chike.
Please, bro...I need us to talk. Want to inquire a few things from you. I sent you a mail via Niaraland.

There's no fast route bro. You must pay your dues. Anything that is easy to get is not genuine. That's why many are still waiting on the queue to land their grants.

The process is long but it always end in praise.

please my people how do you guys see Darwin, is the city ok, are there jobs, is the cost of living cheap?...please someone with good info about the place should feed me up please abeg

I'm heading to Darwin and I have a warming report from people already there. Asking from someone with 190 or 189 living in a bigger city won't help you.
If Darwin is your only choice for now, abeg enter flight. Work dey, but rent is a bit high.

As per social life, let me enter Australia first and land PR before I worry about that. With all the social life in Lagos, how many I done enjoy.

You probably should look for someone going to Nigeria and send it with the person.

I can give you any specific postal service. I have done with Australia Post before registered service but not a mobile phone.

Check Australia Post or any of the private courier service.

Hi y'all. My family and I will be moving to Sydney late Sept to early October 2018. Can anyone kindly recommend any short stay apartments in Sydney for a family of 4 with all necessary amenities ensuite. I have surfed the internet but I will like the opinions of kindhearted people already living in Sydney. Thank you.

Good day all!

Attn: Tyosho & Lord Bellong!

I am currently in the process of packing my stuffs and ready for movement to OZ! Please I need to clarify what I read on AQIS site about prohibited animal products except “CANNED”.

Attached is an excerpt from their site and the marked statements being referred to for your reviews.

I have some couple of very well dried fish and cray fish that I intend to bring but I need some guidance as I read in the earlier part of the thread about some people taking fish with them especially Tyosho’s post.

Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thank you

Hello @malkinburg you mentioned in one of your posts on the Part 1 of this thread that you’d be back to share your thoughts on the 476 visa and all. I’ve been on the look out for that perhaps you could do at your free time...thanks

Hi all, i am glad to finally make this post. The migration journey for me just ended. God has been EXTREMELY gracious to me. landing in this country with a little less than 1000 dollars in February last year, i have successfully graduated in my masters program, obtained a professional job as an environmental consultant while still on bridging visa, and achieved what i couldn't achieve in Nigeria in 5 years all within a stretch of 20 months. i am grateful to the guidance of so many people on this thread. ie Zenkel who showed me how to arrive australia through malaysia on a shoe string budget of 150k, Boss jennakry who enlightened me on opportunities i never knew existed and others who helped and encouraged me on the journey. i will settle down and summarize some important key information yet to be shared on this forum that will help enable new arrivals find a professional job, and also 476 visa holders looking for extra 5 points on what to do to dodge the english bedrock while drilling through to permanent residence. i will also like to encourage others going through a lot of pain and doubting their decisions especially those who came via school route with their partners, it can only get better, don't loose hope. stay focused, the light awaits you at the end of the tunnel.

Every city has opportunities for nurses. Anywhere you are, you are good to go. If you want to make more money, find job in regional areas.
