But i want to bring your attention to the discussion Nicodemus had with Jesus Christ. Jesus told him as recorded in John 3:2-3 “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.”

Nicodemus now asked “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter into the womb of his mother a second time and be born, can he?”

Jesus answered Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. What has been born from the flesh is flesh, and what has been born from the spirit is spirit.

So we now know from Jesus what it means to be born again, that is unless anyone is born from water and spirit, And this are the ones to see the kingdom of God in heaven.

You may now ask, What does it mean to be born of water and spirit? Lets go back to what John the baptizer said before Jesus Christ came. In Matthew 3:11 Some Jews though John might be the Christ but he said "For my part, baptize you with water because of your repentance, but the one coming after me is stronger than I am, whose sandals I am not worthy to take off. That one will baptize you with holy spirit and with fire."
This shows that there are three baptisms. By Water, By Spirit and By Fire. Jesus told Nicodemus that he has to be baptized by Water and by spirit.

Baptism by water as John said is for repentance of sin, you can decide on your own to repent and get baptized. (For all those baptizing babies who has known nothing, its wrong, very wrong) But for being baptized with spirit, you cant ask for it. You are chosen to be baptized or born by spirit. I am absolutely sure we all agree that Baptism means to be reborn.

Now, do we have examples of those baptized or born by the spirit? YES! Act 2:1-4 "Now while the day of the Festival of Pentecost was in progress, they were all together at the same place. 2 Suddenly there was a noise from heaven, just like that of a rushing, stiff breeze, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 And tongues as if of fire became visible to them and were distributed, and one came to rest on each one of them, 4 and they all became filled with holy spirit and started to speak in different languages, just as the spirit enabled them to speak."

These ones were baptized by the spirit. These ones had been baptized by water either by John or Jesus but now they have just completed their process from being born again. Hence, these ones will see the kingdom of God in heaven. But note, these people didnt ask to chosen. they were chosen by God. So, nobody can decide to be born again

Lets now even look at what Jesus Christ did. Many will say Jesus had just 12 disciples. But he had a whole lot more. In Luke 10:1 some other 70 was mentioned. Jesus had Disciples and 12 Apostles before he died. Disciples and Apostles aren't the same. You might then wonder why Jesus didnt eat the Lords Evening Meal with all his disciple but just the 12 apostles. Its because the heavenly calling is not for all.
