Online Media, Politics And Deliberate Misinformation by Throwback: 11:14am On Jul 18, 2018 |
A crafty fellow with the moniker Mophasa, was caught in a deliberate act of misinformation, which I rightly reported to the moderators. That there is pseudo-anonymity on Nairaland and most online media, is no excuse for deliberate misinformation as attempted by the fellow who I believe should now have received a lengthy ban. Below was my response to the statistical abracadabra that Mophasa attempted some minutes ago, in an attempt to cleverly look statistical but with an intended lie at its conclusion just to convince the unsuspecting that there was some data manipulation that robbed PDP of victory. An attempt that had already swayed the emotional minds, but easily rebuffed by those who examine thoroughly every rubbish that is posted online. Whatever political divide we all align with, we must ensure we scrutinize all political propaganda. Cunning and fraudulently crafty people like you are a threat to any educated society. |

Throwback: You sound so pained and filled with hate, please take a deep breath and exhale slowly! I only aired my view and opinion which was open to correction and criticism! Am not fraudulent and my moniker is quite popular on this forum as well as my responsible contributions can't be over emphasized. I neva broke no law so calling for a ban on me is quite a biased sentiment by you. Am so sure the MODs are true professionals and won't fall for your cheap blackmail. Am not a member or supporter of any political party but a professional techy and writer. You really need help as the bile inside of you would sooner or later consume you. Please repent and accept JESUS CHRIST as your personal Lord and saviour and all your sins will be forgiven! Have a nice day. |

Mophasa: You are a fraud who needs to be exposed. Which is what I did to have your propaganda shut down, which is what I am also doing now. That you show no remorse for your obvious manipulation of statistics, is only evident that you are a devious soul. You are the one who needs help because you refuse to accept that you are deliberately crafty, even when your crime stares you in the face. Your kind must be well identified before you continue with even greater fraud on Nairaland. You refused to accept correction and criticism because you knew you were on a deliberate mission and agenda. What has hate got to do with exposing your statistical fraud? Are you a Christian, yet you lie and advance a propaganda meant to deceive the unsuspecting? How does my post above betray any hatred towards anyone or anything, besides identifying you as a fraudulent character? In the Academia, what you did would have ensured the end of your career. You are the one in need of repentance. 3 Likes |

FarahAideed: Dude, I displayed statistics and you can avail yourself of factual data and not allow criminal minded fellows manipulate you based on whatever hatred/love you have for whomever. Why is the truth so hard, even when it is statistical truth? Why are we determined that 16 must be greater than 19? How did that fraudulent fellow arrive at his total votes? Please let us not surrender our objectivity to our emotions that can be easily tricked like Mophasa attempted. I don't know Fayose beyond my interest in the politics of my country, as it ought to be with every one who knows the power of their democratic franchise. Yes I would criticise him on political issues and attitudes of his I do not align with as it is the norm. However, I will not invent or manipulate data to the criminal extent of summing up data and refusing to arrive at the arithmetic conclusion but rather arrive at my own invented figure. 3 Likes |

Mophasa: The moderators not only listened, but they shut down your fraudulent topic. You are fraudulent fellow that added 5 + 4 and rather arrive at 9, you arrived at 32. I just hope that if you are an employee, you are not engaging in such outright manipulation of data and records to achieve you criminal agenda. Next time you want to misinform the public with outright fabrications, you will think twice knowing not everyone is gullible. And you did break a law that should have you banned. 8. Don't post false information on Nairaland. I am one who believes that any government sacking an official for corruption, must come with the associated prosecution if a sack was deemed appropriate. That your falsehood was shutdown by the moderator is enough indictment that you broke the law. That you broke the law you therefore eminently qualify for the penalty. Shame on you. 3 Likes |

Mophasa: Your personal opinion was you concluding that a party that won 4 LGAs should not have a vote tally so close to a party that won 12 LGAs. That was an opinion rooted in idiocy, when it is statistically evident that regardless of who won between the 2parties in the 16 LGAs, their vote difference for each local government was very close, with only 3 instances of 5000+ votes difference between the 2 parties, while the rest where in hundreds and thousands below 2000+ votes difference. That was your opinion based on a delusional and false logic that whoever won a local government, the other party got zero votes, so 4 victories versus 12 victories shouldn't have resulted to such little total difference of 19,000+ votes between APC and PDP. Your opinion, your idiocy. But on the matter of mathematical operation on statistical data, you dare to claim factual analysis on this summation below? *Valid votes=384,594* *Reject=18,857* *Vote cast=403,451* *Valid + rejected=493,188.* That was your own summation to prove that there was no balancing of figures, when indeed there was a balanced figure already provided. You are a disgrace to education and you are shameless. This is the statistical truth below TOTAL VALID VOTES 384,594 (TOTAL: APC 197,459 TOTAL: PDP 178,121, + other parties' votes) Which is a value that is expectedly less than both TOTAL REGISTERED VOTERS 909, 585 ACCREDITED 405, 861. So no error detected. Then, TOTAL VALID VOTES 384,594 (as already tallied above) + REJECTED VOTES 18, 857 = TOTAL VOTES 403,451 So how then did you arrive at the fraudulent arithmetic below for "Valid + Rejected", when the true summation is already below as "vote cast" which is for all of the participating political parties in that election, but you ignored it for a number of your own imagination? Valid votes=384,594* *Reject=18,857* *Vote cast=403,451* *Valid + rejected=493,188.* You are a shameless fraud. 2 Likes |
