Will get enlisted and then upon completion of training be recruited as a private soldier (no rank). Chances of you getting official release to go for a higher education e.g degree or HND is minimal because it's competitive and higher degree + training gets you a presidential commission which is officers cadre with this and a successful career you rise thru the ranks and become a general. Candid advice is u can apply to NDA with a good result, jamb and successful interview at selection board will get you into NDA or go to university / polytechnic to get a degree/HND then apply for commission.

NDA is absolutely free, government will cloth you and feed u with small stipends as monthly allowance and 21yrs within the age bracket but d ward result have disqualified you. If u are interested u can go back resit another waec then reduce ur age, since we have seeing the case of some graduates going back to start from scratch because of the love for the job. All the best.

DSSC is mainly required professional courses listed by the army, such as Medicine, while SSC is other courses not listed.so if recruitment starts and u r lucky to have course listed in DSSC den u apply dia if nt its SSC.like i said DSSC is mainly professional required stated courses by the army.

If your course is listed for DSSC den u apply for it,if you dont find your course listed under DSSC requirements then its SSC.Both are for graduates mind you. Also commissioning of DSSC starts wif 2 star while SSC is one star.

Hello sir, can the Nigeria Navy accept someone with shortsightedness (myopia)?

Just filled the recruitment form, not sure if I should try my luck or don’t disturb myself.

In d military, we v other rank n officers cadre. Some ppl believe dat wen dey join d military as a private soldier, chances r dat dey will get to d rank of Major General. Others believs dat wit der degree from the university, wen they join officer's cadre as a short service commissioned officer, dey will get to d rank of Major General. Most ppl dnt know d difference between a regular officer dat spent 4yrs in NDA n a short service commisioned officer dat spend just 6months in d NDA. Feel free to ask me any question bothering u about carrear in the military. I waz der for 12yrs. I voluntarily discharged, I am a military pensioner n a businessman nw.
