22 years to build another schools that he built or construct another roads he constructed? The salary crisis is affecting Twenty six states in Nigeria including Osun. This was caused by the short fall in federal allocation because of fall in oil price in world market. That is why many states are using their allocation to pay part of salaries and community projects .This is the case in Osun too.I am not defending all the affected states. However Aregbesola still pay level 1-7 full salary. level 8to 10 75percent of their salaries while level 11 -25 have 50 percent as agreed by the state labour union. What can we say about state that did not even pay one naira and neither did they develop the state. Granted all the governors have areas to work on but any aspirant who uses salary construction work to campaign is a deceiver. Aregbesola is leaving legacies that will last long in Osun State compared to his predecessors who only stole our money and shared it as liked for eight years without any communal project to show for it.

This one has failed already. If it is going to take u 22 years to fix the mess why can't you allow someone that can fix it within 2years. And this one says he wants to be governor.
Lol. In other words if I win 2 terms expect no development. I will only pay for 8 years debt. It would be the same no salaries or infrastructure.

You need me to be able to do this.

This guy is a clown.

As a poster above said. 3rd place sure for him

This was caused by the short fall in federal allocation because of fall in oil price in world market. That is why many states are using their allocation to pay part of salaries and community projects .Okonjo Ewealla foresaw this in 2014 when she saw the way PDP was looting our treasury and the possible collapse of oil market. This is the development that affected Osun too.I am not defending all the affected states. he then would have told the people what he'll be able to do for the when voted into office. Even inspite ofhim stating the obviouis wont he divert some of the state's funds . politics is all about interest

Do you know that most of them do that irrespective of the party they are. There is no Saint in politics. But in all their greediness, atleast let them have the love of the workers and even the whole citizen at hearth. Let people be comfortable, provide basic life amenities, pay workers and pensioners, people will even forget they are embezzling the rest.
Some of them won't mind if the whole world is theirs

Funny guy. Have u been to Osun before? You think the people in Ìwo, Ikirun, Iléṣà, Ikire, Okuku, etc will vote for any candidate because of Davido?

Even Adeleke will never think this way
Let's watch.

You will get your votes in Ife alone.

The real contenders are the APC and PDP candidates.

Davido has a serious role to play in this, I am afraid, his influence will move mountains.
[quote author=xreal post=69652993]Davido in Osun politics! seems you are one of those people who only judge politics based on media. The election is not only between APC and PDP, the incumbent SSG that defected to ADP also has a serious role to play and don't rule out omisore too.

This election is actually between APC and PDP; yes Omisore might win Ife alone.

Votes will be close though.

Bola Ige's loan of the 80's was still been serviced till the 2000's. We too like liars and deceitful people for this country. At least Fashola told us a responsible government will fix power issues in six months and other promises of no medical tourism and all has landed us where we are today.

Don't be decieved.

No governor can perform the miracle, fixing the state within the 2/3 years you said. That debt is just too heavy.

I prefer a member of the APC to win the election, so that he can eat the faeces dropped by his party member, Aregbesola.
That is my state. So you can't say APC members should eat shit. Are the APC members the only citizens living in the state? Anyone thta comes in should just start paying salaries in full.

A former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, says it will take 22 years to clear the debts incurred by the government of Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

Omisore said this in Abuja on Monday shortly after receiving his Certificate of Return from the Social Democratic Party.
The governorship candidate of the SDP said about half of Osun State’s allocation from the Federation Account went to servicing accumulated debts.

He said this had led to the inability of the state to pay salaries.
The governorship candidate of the SDP said about half of Osun State’s allocation from the Federation Account went to servicing accumulated debts.

He said this had led to the inability of the state to pay salaries.

Omisore added, “The state is deplorable. It has no infrastructure, health services; salaries are being owed and we are the most indebted state in this country. Our ISPO, that is, our debit from FAAC, is signed till 2040. That is 25 years from 2015.
“So, it is a peculiar situation and a task that cannot be given to a youth corps member or a mere politician. It is not a joke.”

When asked how he would increase the revenue of the state, Omisore said there was a need to effectively exploit the agric sector.

The ex-lawmaker said policies which promoted wealth creation and investment would be implemented and once this happened, wealth would return to the state.

Omisore said the candidates of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party were novices who were being foisted on the state by godfathers.

He added, “Nigeria has evolved to voting people with experience, with qualifications who have done it before. It is not just about running for office. It is not about having a godfather who will sponsor you and be making money from Osun State through the governor.”

Hehe. I think the good people of Osun should not bother to vote this man. He has not even won, but it already giving excuse of his future failure.

Very similar to Jose Mourinho who always complains before the start of any season.
I think you want 100yr debt?
