Someone that's been in politics since 1980s, just because you just started noticing him doesn't mean anything.

Did you know Obama before be became a candidate.

Get your fact right before letting your emotions make you say rubbish and spread false news in public forums
1.Trump never ran for any political office till 2012...before that, he merely supported parties. (He was first and foremost a businessman). He did make severa political statements (in the 1980's) and also talked about running for President as early as the late 80's.

2.Obama....ran for house of reps in 2000 (after deciding not to run for Mayor of Chicago), and failed, then ran for Senate in 2005...and won(after delivering the keynote speech at the Democratic presidential convention in 2004), then ran for President in 2008 and won.

Obama was also a community organizser in 1986-88 in Chicago, and also was a State Senator in the Illinois State House in the 2000's. (in addition to being a part time law lecturer).

He's saying shit. Comparing Obama to Trump. Obama was a member of senate for 7 years, and a Senator for 3 years.

Well, there haven't been that many defections in the US Congress over the last 30 years (Arlen Specter did defect from the Republicans though)

But then again, you might be onto something

Buhari is finished
Only 15 Senators left APC you said Buhari is finished, what would you say if they were 15 Governors?
Don't forget that out of all these Senators, it's Saraki that can deliver his state.
Now can you tell me where Buhari is finished?

is not yet party time for pdp, using 2014 defections as a point of reference.
In the Nigerian political clime, governors are the most important. The Senate is seen as a retirement home or somewhere to keep relevance till you become a governor.
In 2014, 7governors led the defection thereby delivering the states to the opposition.
In 2018 15senators lead the defection. only 1 of the 15 can single handely deliver his state. Others are rubber stamp senators whose main reason for decamping is to secure tickets to return to the house. No political clout in their state.
I feel saraki should have chanelled his focus on getting at least 3governors who can deliver thier states in the north.
In 2014 senators simply followed the lead of thier governor, 2018 the reverse is the case. I don't see any governor following a senators to the opposition safe for kwara state who is a rubber stamp gov.
Get the governors get the power simple
Battle line is just drawn, wait and see.

You are enlightened and educated that is why you feel we should scold them. Education goes beyond graduating from a university. It is a thing of the mind. Most of the so called people on this platform nairaland are not even educated in their minds so we have a long way to go.

APC has themselves to blame allowing those PDP to defect to them in the first place. I've been in few countries of the world never seen a laughable one like Naija. World over if you belong to a party, that's where you stay forever. You don't see a labour party member defects to conservative or a democrat run to republican every now and then.

And again this is a northern plot, if Buhari wins the next election the north have another 4 years and that's it. Maybe just maybe a Yoruba government since they know Yoruba are grooming themselves after Buhari .

So now if they split the APC, rush back to PDP they will have the presidency for 8 years and who knows after 8 years they'll have it longer.
God bless you

I can see you are eventually reading. Good for you.

Now to be involved in politics doesn't mean you must contest.

Supporting a candidate is your way of endorsement of their policies.

In Nigeria, our political parties are bereft of ideologies, this is accepted nationwide

So politicians defecting is common and accepted.

When PDP had it mass wave of defections, those who left had valid reasons

Now that APC is witnessing Its own wave of defection, the reason why is well known to all Nigerians and in many homes, they are welcomed development.

So hating the defections and abusing those who are leaving is hypocrisy of the highest order.

I remember the joys majority had when Tambuwal played his game.

Saraki and Ike are doing theirs now.

Leave the hypocrisy and look at the real issues.

Have many people who benefited in this govt?

The masses too are defecting incase you don't know.

People are tired of the coven called APC.

it is a northern agenda that is true, they want a vibrant young man as President. But such candidate will only rule for four years. Not 8years,the candidate going for such will be defeated.
Soon they will default president to 4years

Can we leave all these political calculations and zoning aside. Please in what way has any of their policies favoured an average Nigerian? From the days of zoning to whatever. The questions we should be asking is where are the benefits the citizens are entitled to? Where are the fulfillment of the campaigns promises? Where are our roads? Where are our jobs? What is our IGR now? What is our GDP? Not all these their selfish fights. Hausa or Igbo or Yoruba, the thing is what is the stand of an average citizen?

Thats the norm in most democracies around the world.

Donald Trump was a democrat.
Clinton was a Republican.
