Not all will stand the test if time.
Engines will knock, owner will look for money to fix or replace
Gear will have issues, partner will look for money to fix or replace
Accidents will happen, money will be looked for to replace (those with comprehensive insurance will smile here)
Drivers will play a fast one and partner will retrieve his car (hunt for a new driver begins)
Some will get blessed and travel out of the country
Some will give up the hustle as to pursue other things

In a nutshell, only a few will stand the test of time.

If you're my blood brother, this is the advice I would give you since I want you to succeed.

Don't rush, be patient.

Save a bit more to get your own direct toks.

Use your current savings for treasury bills to get interest that would reduce the amount of cash required to buy a direct toks.

1.4m - 1.7m would get you a prestine toks.

Doing HP is good but anything can happen during your HP period. You would be putting yourself under unnecessary and avoidable stress doing HP. You're almost there with your savings, don't quit now.

*********************

As a car owner not your brother now.

I would advise you do HP, if you get a good car with sound engine.

Ensure the car owner insured the car comprehensively. The name on the insurance policy should include your name. E.g Car Owner Name/Your Name. Incase anything happen, you also get part of the insured amount for the car.

Look at the agreement you signed before collecting any car on HP. If possible, get a shared 50/50 repairs and maintenance plan.

Use the right engine oil, fluids and other OEM part for repairs.

Collect only direct toks for HP to minimize your risk and expenses.

Oya pick your choice. grin grin grin grin cheesy
I wish the guy can take this your advice seriously..... that was how I got a Nigerian used corolla around May this year for less than a million naira. Before two months, the engine and gear packed up..... Only if I had listen to Gazzuzz, I wouldn't have been in a such a mess

It's well.

500k isn't a small money.

That's why I always advice anyone that care to listen that buying a car is a major decision that shouldn't be rushed.

If you get it wrong, your pocket would feel the pain.

The major repairs done on my Naija used car is changing evaporator which cost me 35k.

Like someone would say, I WAS LUCKY. cheesy grin grin grin

Maxng and Gokada competition.

Bike-sharing is not to be confused with bike-hailing (or bike-on-demand) which is offered by local startups like MAX Go and Gokada. The difference is that while they connect riders to bike drivers (à la Uber and Taxify), Uber Bike will connect riders to bikes which they will drive themselves.

MaxGo & Gokada currently operates like Uber & Taxify but instead of cars coming to pick you na Okada go show up at your doorstep.

Bike sharing started in Asia gained popularity but most of the startup are now bankrupt.

Let wait and see the magic Uber Bike wan perform.
