Same here in Akwa Ibom. I saw a little glimpse of the moon for a few seconds around 7:40 pm before the clouds cover it for good. But to say the truth, what I saw was still the normal white or a maybe a milky coloured moon that we usually see. There was nothing different, and there was no sign that the moon will change color at all tonight.
To all those who couldn't see it at all, be assured that you didn't miss anything because it is still the normal moon colour that you are used to.
Maybe NASA decieved us.

Chief the eclipse began by 8pm and was scheduled to last for an hour and fourty minutes.
What you saw wasn't an eclipse, nobody deceived anybody.

We can't observe the "blood moon" due to the clouds but a good part of the sky is reddish tonight due to its occurrence. Quite disappointed.

In Ahoada Town Rivers State finally the moon has succeeded to hide itself the worst of it is that it has started to rain.

The sky is just dark, no moon, no star, nothing but the gas flare reflections that give the night some red flashes.
