This lady on the ground was cooking when her phone rang, immediately she picked the call, the Gas cylinder in her kitchen exploded and threw her from her floor to the ground while she got burnt, be very careful on how and where you use your phone.

I've been using my phone regularly while using a gas cylinder and nothing has ever happened

Despite all the warnings

I thought I read somewhere that this is merely fictitious, that using your phone near a gas can't possibly cause an explosion

As a burn survivor, i doubt she surviving this.

Before going for gas these are Gas Safety Tips Everyone Should Know, and also knowing how to conserve gas is another important one

Immediately call comes in and you pick up heat wave is generated that's why you are advised to stay far away from the dispensing machine at the petrol ⛽ station when picking calls petrol and gas only need a little heat for a fire to break out unlike diesel.. It's even bad to pick your calls and place your phone close to your ear, make use of headset always.

Apparently her gas cylinder has been leaking without she knowing. It's always advisable to check for leakage if you use gas. If you don't smell it, it doesn't mean it's not leaking.
