Hope you know she was a senator from 2003 to 2007, and it was because she wanted to contest for governor and her brother wanted to install his stooge, that was why she lost.

She stands as a politician, who proposed increment of police salaries and the national assembly shoved the matter aside, so get the historical basis of who she is right, and how lopsided Kwara votes are cast.

I doubt that Gbemi still has the clout and machinery to win an election. She's been off the grid for such a long time. But with politics, plug outs are usually never permanent as you correctly suggested. I think she is in the governing council of one of Nigeria's universities, and that in some way underscores her continued relevance in the scheme of affairs.
