It wont take 2min to check the details on google about that phones. Very important. Lionee the picker request for that always and check the startup of the phone u can check on youtube to differentiate Fake one before going pickup. If u are dealing directly with deal searchers u are on ur own. This is street biz so shine your eye

Back to discussion, I met with the seller and the phone was already dead. I needed to make sure what I was buying was real. The seller charged up the phone and i went through the phone.

I called you both on whatsapp call and Regular call. I kept asking you and saying I dont know much about phones and what do you want me to watch out for? All you were saying eveything is okay as long as it is not SPRINT. you know how many times we exchanged calls telling you i have the phone and what do you want me to watch out for? all you said was as long as it was not a sprint phone.

I know I am wrong for picking up a clone phone but lets try and tell people what actually transpired.

I picked up a cloned phone for terry too when people say original phone do say " Secured by Knox" upon that, it was still a fake phone and I take full responsibilty. All i told him is to sell the phone for whatever amount. After that I will make up for the rest because it was my fault

Ain't fair on lionlee. No-one is an island of knowledge. Even the best phone dealers do make mistakes sometimes.
This is just an Ish of deal searchers outsmarting buyers. Buyers should try to get in contact directly with lionlee after getting links for their deals

With the screenshot provided, the deal finder is clearly the problem. How can you tell Lionlee he should not talk to the person that paid for an item about the item? Bro going forward, don't let anyone dictate how you run your business, be firm and decisive so your name won't be soiled. The earlier you understand no one is doing you a favor using your service and you are doing no body no favor(strictly business) the better for you.
Sorry for the guy that bought the MacBook, I feel your pain and I pray God replenish you.

Lionlee, let any deal finder as from now on send the link and info to the original buyer and the buyer send it to you. You don't have any business with their arrangement, only deal with people that send you the link and educate yourself more on how to spot fake phones too(simple YouTube search will show you that).

nobody is perfect, even mikky picked up an iphone 7 for me that is locked and it was suppose to be unlocked in fact he confirmed to me that it was unlocked, i didnt even tell me it was locked when i finally picked it because i know sometimes things like this happens and as human we are not void of mistakes.

I even told you to check if the phone is not a coupled/cloned one, you should be an expertise in this.

BOLDED:. As long as a phone is on and operational, you should be able to DETECT fake and cloned Phones, no excuse. This is your business bro, that's why you are been paid "fuel fee" which is broken down to, EXPERTISE, fuel & time.


So pls get accustomed on how to check these things So we don't hear the same stories 4months down the line.

No one is perfect and we all learn each day, glad you are putting in effort to learn and will keep learning

IPhones and androids are different. The imei of a clone android(Samsung mostly) is mostly cloned too. So, giving you an imei doesn't exempt one from buying the fake. The same applies to *#06#, as long as it's an android phone; there's a chance the code and other options will work too.

The safest and surest ways are:

1) Put off the phone and boot into recovery mode. A clone phone instructions there is always in Mandarin. Even the real model number of the phone will be there

2) Install CPU-Z on the phone. Less than 1mb on playstore or if you have an OTG with the app on it, connect and install. Open the app and the processor will be staring back at you. A clone phone will always show Mediatek or another processor.

First one takes me 2 mins and the second, 60 seconds. Even if you're far, the seller can do it and send screenshots.


If your phone ain't a USA locked phone and you can't do any of this, I won't buy your phone. And I've never bought a clone before...

Also we all should be aware that buying stuff from pick up sites comes with huge risks, its more like buying stuff from jiji or olx. People should just thread carefully.

You need to explain what you mean by picking an item has to do with detecting fake/clone phone expertise. Even mikky sef always say he is not mr know it all, the fact that mikky spot clone phone doesn't mean it's his duty cos they all highlighted that ask questions and get the phone IMEI to check it is fake or not. Also Note it is pickup site with many risk not a store.

Since you are the agent why didn't you tell him to speak with the buyer. if he agrees with the deal or not. since it is not a do or die affair but i sense cos of your own share you think its better for him to go ahead with the deal..

Once I get the link and phone no with imei too.. I speak directly to the picker..if their is any other question I can ask the link seller

Lionlee if you go for pickup.. They notify your buyers via whatsapp.. Even if it's has small cracked.. Snap and send to the buyer to notify if he is aware of this crack..

Most of all this seller don't normally put all this up in their advert
