Lagbaja (Bisade Ologunde) wasn't only a great Afrojazz inventor; he's also a great narrator. There was a show he do host for Guinness back then on Raypower - he has smooth bass voice and creative choice of words.

Fortunately for him he came into our music space when Fela was timing out and sustained his stay for a good time. He also held us strong for those period (still holds somebody like me though) with his wonderful music.

Well done to him. And a nice choice he made with SIMI. Hope he can release the performance as a single remix.

Lagbaja just couldn't manage his unique brand to the global stage.

He stayed too local for a long time and apparently, his marketing and income from music suffered for it.

When you become a brand like that, you work with professionals and draw a year to year plan that envisions where you want to be.

Lagbaja simply lost his plan and the rest is history.
