I still said it here jokingly on Wednesday this week that while waiting for my biomerics at VFS I saw 4 white ladies and 2 white guys coming out and going into a room that was restricted, and I said here if there is a mini Canadian Embassy in there So its very possible

July 28th is on Saturday bro, Or have dey started applying for paper application on saturdays?
Carlz1:
Hello Please I have a question.
I applied via paper route on July 28th. I’m trying to link my application online but it’s saying no records found. I’ve used the account to link a previous application before, could that be the cause? Do I have to create a new account and link it? Or is it that the application hasn’t gotten to cic yet?

What is lagos mail?

jnyuwa02:

Nope, called medicals. But my profile was undergoing some verifications and stuck for a long time until this morning medical updated to pass after I wrote Lagos yesterday with a copy of my medical slip.

Approval Alert!
Many thanks to those contributing immensely to this invaluable piece of info in this forum. The info here was indeed instrumental to my trv approval. I applied online sometime in April and my application got approved after 14 weeks.

Details of what i submitted:
Required IMMxxx forms
USASK Acceptance letter for PhD in Chemistry (Full funding)
Personal bank statement of around 3 mills Naira
1 landed property
SOP
BSc and MSc certificates/transcripts
All travel history visas/stamps

Special thanks to @jnyuwa02 for picking my call and @ayoadefantastic for finding time to chat with me. See you two in USASK this fall. Good luck to all the trv hopeful.

I dont wanna believe they have not started attending to June applicants, its possible they have attended to some and maybe unfortunately those that have been attended to were refused and they have not gotten back to this forum cos of their disappointment or heart break. So I wanna believe they have actually attended to some June applicants but we are not getting feedback here as a result of their outcomes cos for God sake, this is August and everybody keeps on saying June applicants have not yet been attended to, I dnt wanna bliv that is true tho.. It shall End in Praise

Really?? I didn't know about that. My first application was in 2016. They refused me based on purpose of visit and that I have a degree of equal or higher value. I contacted immigration lawyer who advised me to seek for PhD admission since I already have a MSc degree from UK. That they frown at someone with masters going for another masters.

Please what's the name of the immigration law firm you contacted?

They are updating people’s profiles and have the power to answer something about your application even though it’s not necessarily been processed by them. They updated my profile this morning and just now IRCC wrote me directly from Canada to tell me it seems the medical update I wrote them about using the webform “seems” to have been taken care of smiley

Hi nairalanders...
My first application was on April 17th and was through an agent in Lagos. After my first application, I joined nairaland and discovered the packaging was poor.
Went through some threads and was enlightened on how to tackle common reasons for refusals.
Decided to re- apply by myself.
Reapplied in June at vfs Abuja, I live in Lagos tho.
Program: PGD
Course : RN- critical care nursing , Niagara college
Was skeptical about reapplying because it's a PGD. After I got my refusal, I didn't bother to order for notes cause I felt I couldn't wait for so long before reapplying.

I used the ideas from this thread and previous ones and
The difference in my second from first application were:
A well detailed, real and sincere SOP, made sure I proved I am taking a step of academic progression, made sure I explained why I want the course, how I will survive with funding, my intentions to return to manage my mother's business.
My personal bank statement showing my savings and a deposit of 10k dollars equivalent transferred to my account.
Pay slips - was payed monthly by a relative.
Letter of introduction - I graduated last year and was working voluntarily as a nurse for 6 months.
Sponsorship letter explaining how the funds have been allocated for my education and survival. Also explains how my sponsor will survive while I am away.
Letter or clarification
Reference letter from bank
Sponsor bank statement
Sponsorship letter
Land document or sponsor
Ielts result
Bsc certificate
transcript
Offer letter
Receipt of 1st term fees payment.
Needed to prove I am a real student.

Prayers and total trust in God's timing

I pray for more trv approvals in Jesus name.
Congrats in advance to the trv hopefuls.

congrats

I obtained my Study Permit which is to last for a total duration of two years five months. The duration for my program is 19 months plus Co-op - 16 months for study and 3 months for Co-op/internship. In my Study Permit application i provided evidence of Co-op/internship. Will i have to still apply for a Co-op permit as it seems i was only issued a Study permit and no indication whatsoever was referred to my application for Co-op? Could i infer that the long duration of my study was accommodated in the Study Permit?

It's really God factor! Wow.. I submitted mine on 18th of last month, and resumption is by this Fall... We we're skeptical and confused whether to submit or not before I got encouragement from here to submit; that it's usually different approach for different people; yours just confirms it, I pray it to be so in mine.. Amen

You can easily apply for your co-op/internship work permit when you arrive Canada provided you have a letter from your school to that regard.

I hope this helps.

Thank you. Sigh. I am just wondering why they did not look into it and issue it along with my Study permit considering i submitted the letter from my School indicating that Co-op is part of my program. They even almost doubled the duration of my study in my Study Permit.

I think my status has changed. I noticed my review of eligibility has started.

Can the gurus tell me what this means? Review of eligibility has started but background checks still ongoing at the same time?
