And we are here talking about developing players.

While the whole of europe are spending and buying quality, leaving us to be copa del rey and la liga specialists.

We need to build a solid squad around Messi.

The man is two footballers rolled into one and has got 4 or 5 years for us.

Messi is the only thing which makes us potentially superior to every other club in the world in the pitch.

I mean all of them.

If we waste 5 years developing players then we will not win the champions league for the next 10 years.

We must prioritise winning the champions league above developing players or maintaining some philosophy.

And he's not injury prone.

It was just last season when he collected only 35 appearances.

Every other season he averaged 47 appearances.

There are roughly 55 games in all competitions.


He probably had a set back last season only.

Even though Inter offered Vidal a large salary, he still chose Barça. He did not want to lose the chance to play next to the world's best player, Messi, as he's said many times in different interviews.

That's why the Chilean immediately accepted half the salary at Barça.

So after all the sufferings and heartaches, cum with the departure of Iniesta, instead of the board to find a viable player to replace the two midfield dynamos, they are busy chasing mediocre players up and down. Fact is, no player in the world can actually replace them, however, we can sign players that can fit perfectly to our plans and play the "barca way" e.g Thiago, Pjanic or Erikssen ...


You also talked about having a perfect substitute for Busquet, I believe that Rakitic can do that ( He played the DM position some times last season and performed largely well) and I also believe King Arthur can replace when need be.


The board are so myopic that they always hold a short term plan and not a long one...The purchase of 30 and 31 years old Paulinho and Vidal respectively, is a pointer to this...How many years can we actually get from a 31 year old Vidal... bros stop thinking like those Dundees at the helm of affairs in Camp nou Jo!!! I despise it.

Y'all folks that don't want Vidal should contribute money us so we can sign KDB or Isco ,like wtf? a player of Vidal's caliber for 30m and you don't approve. Talk bout signing youngsters like you can win ucl with em, just look at Real Madrid and see players like Isco playing at the wing just because he can't break into their midfield three. look at City and see players like mahrez and Bernardo at d bench, look at our bench and you won't see any established player there

I still want Fekir tho, and sell dat gomes at any cost even if it means us paying his salary at another club. we need quality backups and not quantity, we can only do well in ucl if we have a solid bench........ as for Vidal, man's hatred for real madrid is something we can relate to so it's a good signing in my opinion

Nobody is concerned about suarez when he starts scoring one out of ten chances.

For crying out loud we need a replacement, even if it means he(the replacement) will be on the bench.
