The most important thing is to learn the basics of algorithms/software development in general. Regardless if the programming language that's used to learn it. Once that is mastered, you can easily move to any language that you need to get the job done. Also, continuous learning and retooling is very important. As this is a dynamic area, and things keep changing. Remember, the programming language is just a tool to get the job done. So once you learn how to get the job done, you can use any tool at your disposal to achieve that. For example, I'm doing java now, but when I went to school, Java was just beginning to show its face. So learnt programming using a totally different language in school. lordally: |

adesbaba:Nope don’t do it , if plan to immigrate to the us then just do that. It’s very hard to covert visiting visa now when you get here and you will just end up overstaying your visa. |

Babyvet:Oh...thanks a lot....I can't actually afford tuition fee fr MSC,wld av done student visa |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Nobody: 1:58pm On Aug 04, 2018 |
adesbaba:You need to pull up a chair and some coffee and study the US Visa and student threads intently. There are people crying on page 1 about the denial rate mostly because of inadequate research and improper planning. It does seem that a new problem is arising in that officials are suspecting that student visas from alot, not all, are being used as a guise for migration. |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 5:08pm On Aug 04, 2018 |
adesbaba:Then why do you want to immigrate to the U.S? Unless you CAN get full scholarship plus money for feeding and other things, it not going to work. There are going to ask for proof of funds because they don't want you to burden their system, they already have enough americans doing that. Tution in this country is very expensive, even the average american born kid is finding it difficult to pay their fees. Also fees for international students can be very expensive. They are denying visa because of people like you, because of fraud. The probability of you being denied is very high and if you were somehow approved and came here , the chance of you converting that visitor visa to green card is slim to none. |

Backfornow:' It's also a problem, because of a lot of students who try to switch to a work visa find it difficult because they need to find a company to sponsor them. For example, in my area, there is no shortage of nurses, so finding a hospital to them would be very difficult . It also cost money and time for a company to sponsor an individual. |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Nobody: 5:29pm On Aug 04, 2018 |
Babyvet:I agree. Company sponsorships are at an time low presently. The current administration has alot to do with that. There was a loop hole around it, I forget what it was now but now that has even closed up. I was trying to subtley discourage anyone who might consider using student visa as a way to stay. Honestly I dont know what the answer is going forward. ![]() |

I know of a guy who went to the US for PHD and after a year the wife and children joined him over there. Now, the wife is working and schooling and the children are enrolled in school. I was wondering the kind of visa they have. Is it possible they are permanent residents now? Note the guy has not finished his PHD |

Saintp:If the guy entered with f1 visa, then they could have entered with f2 visa, which is available to dependants of f1 visa. |

Babyvet:Ma,I clearly get ur point.... Did u read part where I said that I *dont want to do anything illegal* ...my thinking is that a friend relative wants us to come over and so I read the USA immigration website..and it states that I can convert my B2/B1 to F1 as long as my visa is still valid and that I can apply for 6 month extension.. So I asked based on What I read on d site..cos I felt u ppl are in USA and knows better .....I will never do anything illegal ma......am even considering canada EE program |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 1:04pm On Aug 05, 2018 |
adesbaba:What is extension going to do you for you? You can not work or go to school on a b1 visa legally. You still have to show proof of funds when you try to convert and they may still deny the conversion on false intensions because you knew all knew all along that you wanted to immigrate to the US. Your friend relative does not have the power to give you legal stay.Better stay home, save money and try your luck with Canada ee program , your chances if coming to the US LEGALLY are slim to none. To come the US in this present time, its either through marriage ( fattest way), family petition( that can take years depending on the category), work( must find a company to sponsor you and may be stuck on work visa for years), extraordinary talent and business ( business must generate at least half of million dollars and employ at least certain amount of American workers). |

I have a question about the extraordinary talent visa (eb1a visa). What if one earns upto half a million dollar and employ American freelancers as workers. What's he fate of the applicant, because several conditions ave to be met and giving that its dificult to get this class of visa. I really need an immigration attorney to put me through. Babyvet: |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Nobody: 1:49pm On Aug 05, 2018 |
Babyvet:Please let us not even discuss visa through marriage. Marriage fraud for visa is really bad right now and I have been victim of this tactic and it is painful. Thankfully I got out in time. |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 1:59pm On Aug 05, 2018 |
Dremca:The EB -5 visa is issued to entrepreneurs who make the necessary investment in a commercial enterprise in the United States and plan to create or preserve 10 permanent full-time jobs for qualified U.S. workers. |

Backfornow:I'm just mentioning all the avenues of getting status. I'm not suggesting one to get married solely for the purpose of getting a green card. |

Dremca:I just went on the uscis website and only found 5 categories for work. E b1 category is for a US company to sponsor you. They can be based in the US or outside the usa. |

The us has more opportunities but immigration is very difficult , so you can go to Canada . Canada requires at the individual to have at least $12,000 as of funds to come into the country. Go onto the Canada forum to get more details . |

OluDare01:Hate is a strong word , just not a fan of it . I like their shopping and it’s seems like they have a decent amount of jobs , but a lot people can not afford to live there and should move instead of suffering themselves. |

Backfornow:Is this a story you'd like to share... What happened? How did you meet him. PS: I personally feel like marriage fraud would leave red flags in the beginning and the USC would have noticed but ignored it. |

Babyvet:Lol ![]() I know people that live in Connecticut and work in NY. They commute via the train and it is way cheaper. I still don't fancy the NY lifestyle though. It is too fast paced and expensive for me. People are not friendly too. I prefer down south. |

I live in the midwest and it's crazy to note that most people especially in the rural areas are not used to seeing black people. Each time I visit those areas, I smile and mind my business so I dont get shot. Racism lives and thrive here but they wouldn't say it openly. I think the West and East coast are less racist |

Holocene:Where in the Midwest do you live? |
| Re: Yankee: through the eyes of a village boy. by Babyvet: 5:50pm On Aug 05, 2018 |
Holocene:Nope not less racist , just have a different way of showing racism. This country was built on racism . |

But the EB-1(a) could be self petitioned unlike EB-1(b) and EB-1(c). I want to know the full terms considered before it is granted. Babyvet: |
