Yeah I'm a member of a professional body. Entomological society of Nigeria. I just finished my masters degree program at ABU Zaria. I also enrolled for my Ph.D program at the same school. Yeah I can defend my result.

While working on your PhD, talk to your lecturers, especially senior lecturers & professors about your ambition. They can get you in based on both qualification (as you've indicated above) & recommendation (which is more important). All the best

Prove yourself in your PhD and ABU or others will ask for you.

To give you a proper advise you need to disclose more information. What did you study? What grade did you graduate with? What is your current level of education - do you have a Masters degree?

Always a good chance for you in higher institution you graduated from.... be close and know how's to press some buttons.....

Nice career path. Please answer truthfully the following:
1. Do you love research?
2. Have you published in an ISI indexed journal?
3. Can you compete with your peers on an international scale?

Don't go into academics because you couldn't get a job elsewhere. Go in there because you have a passion for research and love doing research and can communicate your findings through publications in top rated and high impact factor journals.

Nigeria doesn't need mediocres and frustrated lots on academics. So if at completion of MSc you don't have a publication then I'm scared you might just not be a good fit for academics.

Following. I think it would have been easy if you excel in your academic performances. Most lecturers started with only their BSC/B.tech as Graduate assistants i think. If not you have to slowly work your way up. I don't really have a passion for research though, Just want the extra coins that comes with a lecturing job since most lecturer i know(In my profession) work two or more jobs and some side contracts and the lecturing itself is appearing to be the "Part-time" job. I wouldn't mind going the academic route but will love to mix it up with as much practical experience as possible.

Besides i am more surprised a PHD student is asking this question.

I possess HND in Architecture (DISTINCTION cadre)
I also want to apply in my school as "lecturer 3" after my NYSC programme. I plan to acquire Msc subsequently after getting the Job.
