CAQ is a certificate you ought to have requested from the province you are going, I am familiar with Quebec, the certificate indicates that you've been accepted in their province for further studies.....

I have the CAQ already which I submitted the photocopy. Now they are requesting for the original that way Air mailed to me. I applied for since 8weeks back.

HELP!!!

Dear Remaj

This is exactly 11weeks,and I presume this is an online routes.. One thing you need to do is to order for your gcms note to get a clearer reason for the denial. Also you need share in detail your profile for some gurus in the house to actually figure out what went wrong. Was this your first application? As just said gcms request....
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by remaj: 10:18pm On Aug 05, 2018
Thank you @biakwa and jnyuwa02

We have ordered the gcms note for clearer reasons
First application for study permit but has a valid visit visa

I applied online and my CIC account has been stuck on “We are Reviewing wether you meet the Eligibility requirements” for the past 3 weeks. Furthermore I haven’t yet been called for medicals.
Is there an issue with my application? It should be noted that I only came back from the UK in Early May.
September & school resumption is fast approaching. Booking of a flight in late August will be costly & making accommodation arrangements won’t be easy in Kamloops British Columbia.

There is nothing wrong with your application. Your decision should be coming out any day now. Hang in there and best wishes!

Good morning, I applied online and I want to view the application I submitted. I would like to check my filled IMME forms , my merged docs and all. Is it possible? Though there's a link that says "view submitted application". Can I download or view what I submitted without any repercussions? Thanks

Good day great minds, am new here and I started following this thread only recently. I have issues bordering on study permit application process and requirements I need the elders on this forum to help me clarify.
I had a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and for the bast 3 years I have been working as a Health and Safety engineer in the UAE. I intend to improve on my competence by pursuing a Msc in Safety and risk Engineering program in Canada, of which I was given admission on 3rd of Aug, 2018, for the winter semester commencing in January, 2019. I am 39 years old. Though am married with 3 kids, I have been alone while my family is in Nigeria. My salary account in the UAE does not house any fund, I transfer home as soon as I receive. Considering the slow pace/delay in getting the study permit in Nigeria, i intend to apply for the study permit here in the UAE(my program starts in January 2019), as was earlier said.

My concerns:
1. What are my chances of getting the study permit?

2. Which SOA(statement Of Account) should I use as my UAE account is not always sufficiently funded or should I simply go to Nigeria and apply?

3. The required minimum fund(at least for the first year) in my Nigeria account is also not readily available(only about 3M) and I intent to fund it up to 10M. Will the VO not have an issue with the sudden huge financial inflow?

4. If I must use a sponsor, can I use my father in-law and what are the documents he needs to provide to support/prove his sponsorship capability.

I need your inputs please

Hi,

I think you should read from the beginning of this thread to understand a lot better .

I can't make a comment on the chances of getting the study permit but I can definitely drop a few points from what I've learned on this forum.

*** Can you get your payslip ? You can use it plus your Nigeria SOA but I'd advise you use your father in law as the main Sponsor.

*** It will make much sense if your Sponsor can show a sign of commitment by sending the needed amount of money to your account.

*** And as for the documents from your sponsor.. I think just the usual to prove your relationship, letter of sponsorship, his work docs..etc.

*** Get a letter from your employer stating your position at the company, your salary and the time you've been working there..( I got one for myself, hence the advise )

*** You will also need a police character certificate from the Dubai police.. Go to Naif police station or Murraqabat police HQ with your Emirate ID and about 400 AED..

If I think of anything else, I will let you know .. All the best to you and all of us awaiting a decision.

Good Morning House,

Please can SOP and LOE be written on a plain sheet of paper without Lester head

Also can Sponsorship letter be written like SOP and LEO Incase the sponsorer has no company with letter head paper.

I need your Guide please
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by muizzzz: 11:36am On Aug 06, 2018
My Biometric now expired in 2028

First Biometric 22/06/18

Application refused on 18/07/18

This means I will not need to do another biometric when re applying .

Visa fee now reduced by about 17k
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 12:15pm On Aug 06, 2018
SOP AND LOE normally should be written on a plain sheet of paper (A4), have not heard of any one using a letter headed paper for SOP, but a letter headed can be used to write the Letter of sponsorship if the sponsor has a Company, if not a plain sheet will do. Its not compulsory it must be letter headed, cos with my little experience on this thread, I have not come across an applicant being refused for not using letter headed paper. Good luck

Applied from Belgium(Online): 17th July
Biometric done in Paris: 19th July
Refusal message: 6th August
Submitted documents
1. cic forms
2. Admission letter (MSc Uni of Ottawa) also stating I will be getting CAD$2,400/year
3. International passport with visa stamps
4. SOA (Letter from my bank stating my savings account balance of 8k euros)
5. Supervisor's funding letter stating I will be paid 20k/year
6. Co-sponsor's letter stating he will provide accommodation and miscellaneous expenses
7. Co-sponsor's Canadian passport, payslips and bank statement
8. Letter of Explanation stating my career goals and that I will complete my thesis by early September since admission letter was conditional to the completion of my current academic program in Belgium
9. My up-to-date transcript stating I passed all courses but remaining my thesis to be completed
10. Bachelor's certificate on Biochemistry (Nigeria)
Reason for refusal stated: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay based on personal assets and financial status.

The problem you are faced now with is showing cogent reasons why the VO should beleive you would return to Nigeria. It’s your thesis to handle now before your course thesis to come. Do you have any jobs or property or close family in Nigeria? As a matter of fact anywhere outside of Canada? Your course of studies and it’s lucrativeness in Nigeria and your desires to come back home and devote your passions? You might have to dwell on these in your next application as it’s the final hurdle to cross. Best of luck!

Thanks for your response. I do not have a job in Nigeria but my family resides there. I have a landed property that I pay installmentally and yet to complete the payment and also have the papers to my late father's property (Although the document is in his name). Do you think the finance is also a problem here ?

You scaled the financial prong which usually the first assessment. It appears your scholarship from the school is enough to cover your full expenses. Having done so, the assessment then moves to your purpose of visit and whether you would leave Canada. That is where you stumbled. You need to work on demonstrating ties outside of Canada. Talk about your loving family you intend to return to, if you are married. Talk about your career prospect in Nigeria and how your future plans intertwines with that.

The school fees is actually 16kCAD$ but I have funding of 20kCAD$, bursary of 2,400CAD$ and savings of 8k Euros. I still do not understand the financial status constraint. Moreso, I will like to ask if its recommended that I repackage and re-fire immediately or I order the GCMS note first.
Thank you for your time.
