Wheyme:You can take the chance and apply without Gcms notes. Some have done that in the past and succeeded. Given resumption is close as a matter of fact, I will recommend you do so because many times GSMS and refusal forms often are in line and touch on the same things. You will need a strong SOP convincing and assuring the Canadian government that you intend to depart Canada after your studies. Yes refusal “based on personal assets and financial status” is absolutely a refusal based on ties. These ties don’t have to be in Nigeria. They can be anywhere as long as they are outside of Canada. No they don’t require you to apply in Nigeria. Where you are currently applying is fine. |

Ratawu:Not a case of limited funds. His denial has nothing to do with the funds for his studies. He passed that criteria with flying colors. Assets and financial status is not a denial based on funds, but ties. |

vivicintia:Please send them an email without further to do. Sometimes some applications get stuck on th cracks until CIC eventually finds them and renders a decision. You might want to send them a jingle and remind them of your application. |

You are quite right, the resumption is near. Thanks alot, I will try to repackage and put in a new application by the end of the week and ofcourse with necessary documentations. Do you mind reviewing my SOP please when I have it prepared ? I will appreciate it if other gurus can also help me with that please. I'll cry out when that time comes tho. | Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Chebe01: 9:12pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
I would suggest you reapply and perhaps try and submit a more detailed SOP on how another masters will benefit your career trajectory and add value to the one you're about to complete. You should also add in your justification, issues like the dearth of people with apposite qualifications in your field in Africa and how you hope to head home afterwards to help train professionals in your field, etc. When you live outside your "home country" and in your case; as a student, they need to be convinced that the masters is not another ploy to go to another country as your current programme is ending. Lagos2canna:This Canada visa ehn... please I want to know what happens when Visa comes late (maybe a week after resumption? Does this even happen? Or what happens when visa comes and school says it is too late for enrolment? Some people have even passed background check and they are on eligibility review for weeks, some have been on background check for weeks as well... Cos if this is the 1st June applicant receiving a response (according to you), I honestly don’t know what to say for people who applied in July for fall. This is serious. |

Please send them a mail. Send to the different processing offices as you don't know which is processing your documents. Then use the webform also and do the same thing. Make sure you indicate it's over 9weeks. All the best. Banks039: |
