The problem you are faced now with is showing cogent reasons why the VO should beleive you would return to Nigeria. It’s your thesis to handle now before your course thesis to come. Do you have any jobs or property or close family in Nigeria? As a matter of fact anywhere outside of Canada? Your course of studies and it’s lucrativeness in Nigeria and your desires to come back home and devote your passions? You might have to dwell on these in your next application as it’s the final hurdle to cross. Best of luck!

I add like to ask a dumb question please. Forgive me but aren't you legally allowed to work for a certain period of time in Canada after your studies? Why then would a VO be concerned about one not returning back to his home country after studies?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 11:13pm On Aug 06, 2018
Apply for yourself first, get yours and then you can apply for your family. They can even serve as ties for you.
Applying with them feels like indirect express entry.LOL

It only reduces your chances.

Cheers

Not a dumb question at all. Lots of people express this sentiment.

The reason is because you will need a work permit in order to work after studies. Since there is no guarantee that your work permit application will be approved, the VO cannot make the assumption that you would be able to legally stay after studies.

So worse case scenario, if your work permit application is rejected, would you return home after studies or continue to stay back illegally? The VO's want the answer to be the former. So they ask you to prove this to them in the first place before you enter Canada.

Please send them a mail. Send to the different processing offices as you don't know which is processing your documents. Then use the webform also and do the same thing.

Make sure you indicate it's over 9weeks.

All the best.

@harde116,

Good day, please can we get a simple format and to which emails, I also need to start reminding them as mine is also 10 weeks now.

Thanks

I hope this also helps..

Dear visa representative,
Thank you for taking time to process my visa application. I am a study permit applicant from Nigeria with application number '....' and UCI number '...'. I will like to enquire the progress of my application as the processing time is beyond 10 weeks which is stated on the cic website as the average processing time for applicants from Nigeria. This is so that I can conclude with my travel plans accordingly. I will be looking forward to hearing from you soon so as to make further preparations.
I am indeed grateful for your time and consideration.
Kind regards,

Yes you can move to Canada via study route or express entry route. Join the express entry thread to get more info on that but if it's the study route you intend taking then you can get all your answers here

Like someone has always said, I dont think these VO are some kind of god. They are simple professionals like police officers,

The canadian embassy is aware that school resumes in September, just pray you get a favorable decision on your application. Monday was good, Tuesday will be better. Most June online applicants have gotten final decision but they are silent. Why?

You are right, that the real picture. if you must travel then there's need for adequate preparation and you will also need to settle down over there.

7 times you sent email and you were not tagged a desperado?? Some on these forum said you would. Lol. Congratulations!!

I want to believe you misinterpreted this. Those some said sending an email to CIC when an applicant application is within the processing times is not advisable. If an application has exceeded the normal processing times, an applicant is certainly free to send countless mails to CIC.

You're free to do so once your application has exceeded the normal processing times for Nigerian applicants. You won't be tagged as a desperate applicant.

Attached are some of the email addresses you can you send a CSE:

LDNIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

nairobi@international.gc.ca

Also make use of the IRCC WEB FORM
