Sometimes this can take much longer even after background check changes to the "we are processing" status and eligibility review changes to "we are reviewing eligibility". I am saying this because my little brother's application profile has been like this for almost 2weeks now, yet no decision has been communicated to him. His application is in its 7th week now!

These are the reasons for my refusal:

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this
decision, I considered several factors, including:


*** purpose of visit
*** employment prospects in country of residence
*** current employment situation

Other reasons:

*** Upon a complete review of the application, previous academic and employment history and the
reasonableness of undertaking the proposed studies in Canada, I am not satisfied you are a bona
fide student & would depart Canada at end of authorized stay

My University gave me August 8th as deadline to tell them wether or not I’ve gotten my student permit.
I applied on July 15th & was asked to do my medicals on Monday. I did my medicals on Tuesday 7th August. My CIC account has been stuck on “We are currently reviewing wether you meet the Eligibility requirements” for the past 3 weeks.
Should I just lie to the school that I’ve gotten the visa as I was called for medicals?
I’m scared to be deferred to Winter semester.

Is this a good sign since his medicals took 8weeks to be updated and it changed same time with eligibity?
