The Rivers State Government is set to embark on the recruitment of 10,000 new teachers in the state.

The Rivers State comissioner of education, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja disclosed this in a statement made available to Views Media.

Dr Gogo Jaja disclosed that the new recruitment is part of the vision of the Wike- led Government to reposition the state educationally and also curb the rate of unemployment amongst youths in the state.

Dr Jaja stated that the state ministry of education is ready for the recruitment of the new teachers and is only waiting for the approval of the state governor,Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Other non academic and auxilliary staff will also be recruited.

The recruitment exercise is to commence in the next academic session in september 2018.

As usual the employment will be for 500 people but they will hype with 10,000 terrain I've once walked

Am sure the government will just select from the already trained youths from N-Power.

Wike and his associates will give 9500 of the available spaces to their friends and family. While the temporary npower job is for the poor and down trodden. That's Nigeria for you.

And the Lagos State government is busy making noise about just 1,000 slots it want to give to APC members calling it recruitment.

How many times has advert came out during this administration that people were never called up after submitting CV's, tgjsshould belike the3rd time. Abeg let them leave all this theatrical play to the gallery... Very vainful,unneeded and unnecessary.. Do things that are genuinely needed by the state, not to dance to any time with the sole aim of contending with your predecessor... Very ill placed and poorly planned.

PDP vultures at it again. Election is near. They have started their political employment. During the recruitment process, they will demand that you register as a PDP member. After election, these employees would be sacked as usual.

Bros 10000 teachers?how many schools do you have in rivers state?,If they employ 100 teachers for a school which is not possible that makes it 100 schools.This is just politics pure and simple.so the man that said he will employ 1000 is still more reasonable and sincere

Governor Wike is set to recruit 10,000 teachers when we have less down nine(9) months to the general elections , I smell Governor Fayose failed political gimmicks to impress the masses on zero developments
