I recently joined this thread. My company has offered to sponsor my MSc program at U of S. Please gurus in the house what are documents required, are there additional documents that are needed because I'm not sponsored by an individual. The company also plans to transfer the required amount of money to my bank account. If anyone has a similar experience, kindly send me a pm. Thank you.

1. A letter of support from the company stating they are sponsoring you and the amount they will be committing towards it. they should also state of you will be promoted on your return or the post you will take up (not too important but I will advise they say it)
2. Statement of account from the company
3. Leave letter for the duration of your program
Then on your part, include your employment letter, payslip, ID, your own statement of account (not too important in this case since your company will cover all expenses but I will strongly advise you include it even if the money in it is small)

@jemba73, in addition to these documents, you can add board resolution extract where the decision to sponsor you was taken

Please house I intend to go drop my passport tomorrow in Lagos as I am currently in Lagos. However, I did my biometrics in Abuja, does it make any difference? If yes, how? Thanks for your contribution. And what am I expected to go there with?

You will need to call Prime Hospital, Port Harcourt and book for your medical appointment. The medical procedure is between 8-12noon.
When I did mine, I was told i need to book first. Their number is 08090840688.

Thanks! I called them earlier. The lady said 8-12 as you have mentioned. But she said I can come tomorrow for it rather than booking. And apparently the price is cheaper than it is in Lagos I think.

why is everyone writing SOP.

I can assay a couple of reasons. Some may use it to clarify parts of their application, to unexplain gaps in education or work experience, or to provide mitigating reasons. Others may use it to organise their application (almost a pseudo table of contents, if you like), emphasising information they feel is essential to the VO.

But, ultimately, it depends on the applicant’s preference. For me, I did not submit an SOP.

Good afternoon everyone. I have been a silent reader here. I applied for study permit online on July 26th, was called for biometrics the next day. I did the biometrics on July 31st. My resumption is for September.

Just now I received a Medical request in my CIC portal through my email. Please can anyone explain what this mean?

Pls I'm about to start my application, what and what documents did you use. Especially as regards bank statement and closing balance that may work for me, as well as SOP. I got an offer for global business management at centennial college, January intake. Thanx. I'm new here though

Good Evening house. I applied for study permit 4th April, got delayed 29th May. I decided to reapply cos of the generic reasons stated as insufficient funds.
I reapplied 13th of June, but just out of curiosity, I decided to order my gcms to see why I was rejected. Please find them attached.
The recent lump sum the VO is referring to is matured TB that entered the account, also it was reinvested immediately so it left the account again.
My dad is my sponsor. He does contracts and he is a retired Finance Manager from a construction company. (Retired 3 years ago)
In his avidavit of support he stated he gets money from contracts, haulage (truck particulars and insurance were submitted also) housing rents, share dividends, he also submitted his CAC documents, tax clearance certificate, TIN and C of O of his houses and their approved drawing plans.
But from the VO’s perspective he has little idea what my dad does. Please Jnyuwa02, Mcobex, Frankbonn, all the attorneys and gurus, please help me analyze this note and suggest a better route to follow in case my current application doesn’t run through. Thank you
