Not just in Lagos, everywhere. For safety reasons, you are advised not to leave your bag or phone on your car seat and leave the car unattended. It’s one of the questions in driving theory test.
My friend got her screen smashed right in front of my house here in London and the thief made away with the phone she left on the car seat.

His stupidity actually located him.

Even when I am in the car. I dare not put my bag in the back seat while driving let alone when I am out of the car in Lagos.

In my opinion, the bag and passport may be dumped somewhere and in a rare case of the the if wants to be benevolent, include the laptop drive too. The cash and laptop is gone

How he was careless to have left the bag on the back seat beats me. The security men on duty outside should be grilled buh I guess the bar has a 'cars packed at owners risk' would prevent that
