Gbam! This is exactly what put me off in the first place. The melodrama. Everything is overblown and over-dramatized. I couldn't stand the infantile behaviour of some of the major characters, esp the narrator. In fact, the whole thing is soapish.

You are still on this p?

Pressure affects people differently. 10 days hostage situation.

Secondly, do you know how hard is to recruit guys for such a heist job?

Just finished watching Money Heist and I'd say it's a masterpiece.

spoilers ahead

But here some things that just doesn't add up in the movie.

For example when "The Professor" seemed to have had a such a master plan already why then did he ruin it by gathering a bunch of amateurs (I called the whole crew amatuers due to their babyish attitudes)

the plan was just too pro to give a bunch of kids that couldn't keep away their feelings for just 10+ days they spent in there. In fact the movie was just ruined due to the that foolishness by the writers

10 days hostage situation? Toyko, Rio and Denver started their nonsense on the first day. What's their excuse? You can make excuses for them all you want, but the truth is Toyko, Denver and Rio were emotional landmines: troubled, immature and lost. And yet the supposedly brilliant criminal mastermind known as the professor hired them for the heist anyway. If I don't know any better I would say he deliberately wanted them to f**k the heist up. The only characters I don't outrightly despise were Nairobi and Berlin. They were the mature ones.

More on Money Heist...

Why was Tokyo chosen as the main character and narrator of the story over the more stable characters? She was impulsive and a rebel, made a lot of bad decisions, and overall her story revolved around Rio. I couldn't root or connect with her at all. She had absolutely nothing to offer the crew, whilst everyone else had certain skills or traits that were key to their success.

So my final theory is she's just there to create melodrama. Without the melodrama, the show would have been dull, and hence, people wouldn't have hooed and haaed, and call the show best show they've ever seen.

Nigga please.

Another thing I want to add is how dissatisfying the ending was. Berlin and Moscow who worked the hardest died in the end, but Denver, Tokyo and Rio, the dumbest members who screwed up the most survived?!

The show had a pretty clever plan but there were too many loopholes and jejune characters, and this ultimately marred the whole experience for me. People with simpler taste would rave and rave, but at end of the day, this is not the kind of show you would wanna watch twice.

Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Nobody: 5:16pm On Aug 13, 2018
Okay let's talk about the premise of the show: The supposedly "brilliant plan" is basically non-existent. The Professor has to run frantically around in every single episode to fix things, and all of it only works out because of pure luck, insane coincidence, and most of all, his infinite fuel of plot magic.

I totally get that TV shows don't have to be realistic in a real life sense, but c'mon. I know that some plot magic is always involved, even in good shows, but it's all about the amount of it and the way it's executed. And this is where Money Heist exposes itself as a low quality production in terms of writing.

Okay, I'm done venting. Venting is good for the soul. cheesy

Would you like it if someone said that game of thrones is just "DRAMA with swords and dragons"?

GoT is just drama with swords and dragons though. It's not unique in the sci-fi fantasy genre it belongs to. There were shows that have dealt with dragons and swords long before the advent of GoT. It's a really good fantasy medieval show inspired by the English war of roses, but is basically, just a drama.

That's exactly where my issue is with the series,

The plan was just perfect as in perfect that if he had hired pros for the job (I mean pros who wouldn't let their feelings get in their jobs) the heist would have been a piece of cake.

And don't tell me it's hard to find pros because the professor is portrayed as being a genius so it should be very easy for him to get pros for the job and moreover who in their right mind would turn down a 2.6 billion job.

True man, last character similar to his in a movie I saw was the Micheal Schofield.

Movie kept me on edge from beginning. In fact I had to change some of my server names to those cities and insisted a particular one be called Tokyo grin

Do you remember my comment about this movie when i said i am tired of DRock OTT and fake stunt movies? Before obixcel raised people's expectations when he wrote his report watch after watching at the cinema?

i remember my comment after his made a rating, the trailer looked generic, i will wait for download.

Eya. You just stumbled on the show recently, and is wowed. Understandable. I've been there. I recommended the show to people last year in the series thread. The irony is I fall out of love with it pretty fast even as people were asking me for links. I found it melodramatic. Everything is just too much drama. A lot of people love it though.

i was right we did discuss it back then.

Genre: comedy

I saw this movie yesterday night, and disturbed my whole neighborhood with my laughter. If you love Damon Wayans style of acting especially on the TV series lethal weapon, then you'll definitely love this movie.

i watched this movie in 94 or 95. its old school

The movie was quite emotional I must confess, but I guess my emotional bar was kinda higher than what was showcased in the movie. I haven't really seen Titanic, am not a fan of Romance/ Romantic movies. Though I've read about the unsinkable ship which later sunk.

titanic is the most powerfull love story i have ever seen on screen.

that movie is the king of romance love story movies.

it would take a lot to defeat it.

i was watching some scenes over the weekend on you tube where rose was leaving the ship, as the boat was lowering she was starring at jack and she jumped back into the sinking ship.

jeez, that movie shook me as it did the entire planet
