The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, is currently on a private visit to former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.


Mr Saraki arrived the home of his host located within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library on Monday evening.

The embattled senate president had last week also met with former military ruler, Ibrahim Babangida, in the latter’s home in Minna, Niger State.

Mr Saraki’s meeting with the past leaders is believed to be related to the 2019 elections. He recently defected from the ruling APC to the opposition PDP.

Like Mr Saraki, Messrs Obasanjo and Babangida are both expected to work against the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 20

Saraki is carefully garnering support for his presidential candidacy.

But I think he should also be aware that the people that decides who becomes President are from the North.

The population of a northern state can swallow 3 states in the east, south and west combined.

And funny enough, many won't get PVC to vote and some that does won't even vote.

Tactically, no matter who lifts Saraki hand as a candidate to vote for Buhari still has a better chance.

Why is it that nobody ever goes to the south east to consult, pay homage or have closed door meeting with any politician?
It's either South West, North or South south
