Share your experiences please if you have ever visited a dentist

A lot of people associate dentists with pain hence have phobia for dental procedures. It ought not to be so because we are no longer in the era of "barber surgeons" when surgical procedures was associated with pain. There are now anaesthetic drugs administered to numb pain before dental surgery..

Please share your experiences or treatment received, whether pleasant or not, so that others who have this phobia may read and learn

The experience was pleasant. Extracted a tooth at Ajeromi general hospital Lagos few years back with 3k.
I was afraid at first but it didn't take up to 30 mins and the dentist was done. Prescribed some drugs and I went home till today no more tooth ache.

I used to visit some dental service that provides periodontics and all that i can say is 1) Nowadays with all that new high tech equipment dental procedures became way more comfortable and way less painful 2) I still hate dentists, they give me creeps and did hate visiting them when i was a child and still hate it for today. It's some kind of psychological issue, dental service was totally fine tho

Lol.. A lot of people dislike surgical procedures generally. In the olden days, surgeons were hated because people associated them with PAIN. But today, things are different, thanks to medical innovations. And dental surgical procedures are not exempted.. People need to be reoriented psychologically.
