Information from students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi has it that there was an accident this morning involving a motorcycle and a bus.

There's rumor that four students died because the school clinic refused to admit them since they don't have IDs and police report.


Out of anger, the students started destroying the school clinic and burnt down the bus.


The University authority has closed the school indefinitely for now.

My only pain is the student who will be asked to pay for the items destroyed, both imagined and real items. You don't create a bigger problem in the attempt to solve a smaller one.

How a 'medical doctor' who is first a human being would see a fellow human suffering and bleeding to death and still ask for police report before going ahead to save life still beats my imagination. How do they really enjoy seeing people who are in the point of death dying when they can help.

That 'Doctor's Report' part is false. The clinic is undermanned and not adequately equipped to handle the severe trauma those students suffered. That was the major reason for the rampage.

Lol. Don't mind them. Most South Southerners and Easterners call everyone from the middle belt down North 'Aboki'. It's mostly lack of exposure. They have never travelled to these parts, so they just assume. Some of my Bayelsa friends also call me Aboki.

What is this death hook of an excuse called Police report and ID card that keeps taking the lives of students all over Nigeria and yet no one sees the need to focus on this bismal dismal of a case to the heights of full focus? why? why?

Next, most students know that the shop called university clinic all over federal campuses in the country are underequipped despite the huge amount of cash taken from students via their school fees.( presumption more than preknowledge)


Now, it's likely the clinic at UniAgric was truly not having the necessary stuff to ensure these injured students stay alive till they are taken to a hospital.


But that's not enough reason to guise under police report and ID card now.



Those two requirements are beginning to make my ears sick than the hearing of corruption in the country.


Its High time, the University Management begin to answer serious questions about funds. Funny enough, I'd continue keep saying it..... The senator system is the main backbone or Nigeria's total problem. All what most school senate know how to do best now is just sit on poor and calamitous results and panel creations.

is not small problem. We are talking about human lives here. I supported the students, the message was sent and I know it was well received. Before you ask for I.D or police report, safe life first. They will definitely RE open the school someday but the lives are gone forever

Treat them first, if its proven they aint students, bill them for the job done. if it requires the involvement of the police, secretly invite them while the treatment is ongoing.. whats wrong these medical practitioners?

We have old myopic minds controlling administrative unit in most part of this country, when has ID card become more important than human lives.

I remember there was a report recently that was published that both accident and bullet wounds should be treated with or without police report in clinics and hospitals, but our people will never see that it is politics and salary they will be facing.
