The Peoples Democratic Party has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari’s poor understanding of current global economic dynamics and humongous corruption in his Presidency have completely wrecked Nigeria.

It said the limit of the economic knowledge of the President and the APC was also directly responsible for the accumulated N22tn national debt burden on the country.

The party said had President Buhari heeded wise counsel from it (the PDP) to allow competent hands to manage the nation’s economy and had he not continued to provide official cover for corruption in his Presidency, the nation would not have been in this current embarrassing economic situation.

Foreign reserve was $29.5b, today more than $45b.
Our annual budget was 4.2tr naira, but today is more than 9tr naira.

We can see how Nigeria is progressing under the best president.

Let assumed the 22trn naira is correct,
today debt will be less than $60b.
And if you deduct 22tr from 11tr, =11tr naira which is less than $30b debt buhari has incurred which was not given in cash but for infrastructural development.

PDP will never learn. Most of those loans are counterpart funding between Nigeria and other nations (mostly China) for infrastructural development. That means that the money does not even touch the account of FG but goes directly into projects they are earmarked for such as the railways and power plants while FG provide their own part of the money.

The question of looting the loan money does not even arise because there is no access to the money.

For a party whose life blood is based on looting, one can understand their fear.
