Our problem is we think only prayer can do it for us. We just too like miracle. Same thing when we luckily equalised with China. No spirit of sportsmanship whatsoever. Can't they just go inside and do some strategic planning with coach then some prayer. 1 Like |

I maintain my opinion (made during our last game- 1-1 against China)... This is the WORST Falconets team we have ever had in Nigeria. They can't put three passes together, no ball sense, no positioning, no interchange of play, can't dribble well, and can't shoot either. There is a limit to the extent which a very good goalkeeper, sheer luck and prayers can take a team at this level in football (or sports generally). Their coach is a slowpoke too. He has no strategy whatsoever; no tactics. Nothing! He's just been shouting like a goat on heat since the competition started. These are not our regular Falconets- these clowns are nowhere near the sides that qualified for the final game in 2010 and 2014. The only player worth the shirt is the goal keeper. The talent of Rashidat Ajibade, the top player, is wasted because she is surrounded by incompetent clowns throughout the pitch. These girls are not very good -- except the goalkeeper of course. I don't think the team was selected on merit. There must have been the typical man-know-man syndrome in the team selection. But the worst thing about this team is the coach. The team has no pattern, no passing technique, no attacking plan. Just defend, defend and defend.  The coach keeps shouting and confusing the girls.  Making them think all they have to do is defend and man-mark. No attacking sense at all. Why is the Spanish coach not shouting; and yet his girls are playing a lot better? Because he has already taught them and then sits back to watch them praticalise what they learnt on the training pitch. >:1 Like |

I actually feel sorry for our girls. It's so obvious that they hardly got any decent coaching. If all you coach can offer is... load am into their box, follow am, na pesin wey dey interchange run dem go give, na your ball, na your ball ...then you are in serious trouble. 1 Like |
