The so called jobs will be revoked when the next Government takes over. I only pity the people who will rejoice that they have gotten a job. It happened here in Delta.

No no, he is recruiting workers to work in his farm in his village when his term is over.
And that is his last scamming of the people of Ekiti.
And we Ekiti people are easy for him to fool.

Hiring beyond the financial strength of the state to:

1. Stifle development & make the incoming governor struggle to pay salaries/pensions.

2. Force the incoming governor to retrench workers on a massive scale. Given the rife unemployment in Nigeria there will be emotion-laden public outcry.

Whichever approach the incoming takes will make him quciky & very unpopular with the people whom he already had an almost similar record with during his first stint.

So you are comfortable with the way Osun and Oyo came 28/29 in the last WAEC. Ekiti used to be worse 32 under Fayemi, now 11. If Fayose thought that 1000 more teachers will pull Ekiti up to top 5 so be it. What is the essence of building roads while your children gradually turn to Almajiri

He cannot pay now because of the debts he met and added to. Let the next governor now focus on human development instead of building 1 billion/1 kilometer roads. Either you like it or not Fayemi will borrow, at least now let it be towrds Ekiti children future, not towards 1 billion/1 kilometer roads that will be gone under 3 years

You didn't answer my question; why is he recruiting more teachers a few months to the end of his tenure even though he can't pay those who are already employed? Why can't he wait for the incoming administration to decide what to do about the situation?

The lives of ordinary people should not be reduced to a vendetta between politicians. The 2000 people that are being employed will not be paid. Their lives will be worse off than before because they will now be working for free, like slaves.

Wow.....its incredible that you cannot understand this shear wickedness by the out going governor.....


First there is a back log of unpaid salaries and pensions, which the present governor is doing nothing about. And resolving it would have been his best parting gift if he really cared for his people, but we know he is only on a revenge mission..

Secondly why did he have to wait till he knew he would no longer be responsible for them before going ahead to recruit.

Thirdly, since he is currently unable to pay salaries how does he want the incoming government to pay the new recruit plus the back log of unpaid salaries.......there is also possibility that he has looted the states fund and even created debt for the incoming govt

Obviously who ever is employed now will get disengaged once Fayemi resumes, as a simple means of balancing the books.....

These new recruits who are being made to buy form are just being used as pawns.....this should tell you just how wicked and uncaring a person the current Governor is..........

I see your point but the catch is, are these teachers being paid or owed their emoluments? Does the state have the wherewithal to sustain salaries & pensions without having to borrow?

I’m not Pro-Fayemi. My initial post was just to state how I view the development for the incoming administration.
