Thank you. Let us keep sentiment apart, Anybody that know that place will actually think twice before reacting because it is actually too close to the main road.
Do you know the house was not demolished because it was close to the road but because there were modifications to the intial approved plan?

The govt is guilty though for being in a hurry and not waiting for court to abjudicate on the matter.

However, I do not see the court stopping the partial demolition of the structure.
I'll say you wrong by saying that.. Its not too close to the road..Can you compare it to the structures close to.Iwo road...Still the Government would have just cuttoff the fence of the building...there's big sentiment

1. Nigeria is a lawless nation.

2. Building demolition due to owner running foul of the law.

3. Nigeria is a heartless nation.

4. Building collapses because government does not implement laws.

5. Nigeria is a lawless nation

till infinity....

There are intricate lessons to be learnt from the demolition. I have decided to take the lessons rather than being emotional. I knew the building will be pulled down if not now then later. If not by this government, then by a later government. Why are we being emotional about this demolition? Oh because it's owned by Ayefele or because it is a radio station? Definitely whichever of the two reasons is not above the law of the land which is subject to a lot of interpretations. Has any one drove from Idi Ape through Bashorun to Akobo? Those buildings pulled down were owned by people like Ayefele. The businesses there employed people too. Oh because we assumed that they were not physically challenged or owned a radio station? When Barrister Lowo Obisesan held away as a Oyo Commissioner, he went about restoring the beauty of the land by pulling down everything that needed to be pulled down thus making Ibadan a beauty to behold. A lot of bread winners were affected. Same FRESHFM supported him back then. So now the chicken has come home to roost. Let's not crucify Ajimobi, Ajimobi has no single power to effect any demolition. The demolition was done by the OYSG. By May 29 2018, Ajimobi would walk away as a private person. The OYSG would always be here with us. Another man would mount the saddle as a Governor. Governance would continue. Our dear UCH lost its fence worth about N12million to that road in front of the Hospital. I doubt if we have been paid for it. This is an opportunity for politicians to score cheap points. I'll rather these politicians come together, pulled resources together and build another befitting Music House that in years to come would not fall 'foul' of government environmental laws. Government is like Management. Decisions are taken a times that we do not understand and feel shouldn't have been taken. But the government like the management still has to take a decision irrespective of whose ox is gored, irrespective of if we like it or not, irrespective of if it favors us or not. A government or management who lacks the will to take a decision has no moral latitude to be called a government or a management. However, if like it's being guessed that the demolition was to silence the opposition, then too bad. There area about 27 other radio stations in Ibadan alone. I seriously doubt if OYSG will want to muzzle the media.

They told me this has been on for 7 years that Akala out of impunity bent the rules and roads for Yinka and no way it will not haunt him forever. Now a demolition of a year was sent to him to come rectify the adjustment.he refused. At the expiration of d 1 year.they served a 3days notice on him which expired on wednesday. The buldozer did not come that day only for yinka to rush to sue the government on thursday.Meanwhile courts are on break and case yet to be heard.no court injunction served.Yinka n fans continued to sentimentally insult Ajimobi and even Dapo Lam Adesina was at the station yesterday bashing Ajimobi.

He now went ahead to pull down the illegal structure in question and not d entire building. Now egbon what is on that land that yinka is scared to leave.Remember his scandal with Erelu Agbaye who claimed they gave him fame.Yinka could have gone to Akala to help intervene and relocate him to another place.!!!!!
SHUT THE F... UP! You don't need to lie to make a point. A restraining order was issued and served on the government who still went ahead with the demolition sir. Talking about Akala, can you provide verifiable evidence to back your claims? Please don't say what you cannot defend!

Everything you wrote here is nonsense. The governor in an interview in that same radio station said people with his cabinet (not town planners o) were persuading him to demolish the station. The Governor has implicated himself with that alone.

If anyone who understands human psychology hears the case. Hewill say the building was pulled down for political reasons. Why the change of heart after 2 years and why the rush?

He should have left another government come and destroy the building, just to save his name. His tenure is almost over. Why not let it be?

Which structures particularly in Iwo road please. Do you know the place (music house)? because I have been there twice and see things myself for one reason or the other. Let us keep sentiment apart, these are approved setback for building an office complex:

Required Setback from Highways and Roads

Primary (Federal or State) Highway 90m right of way – 45 meters from the centre.
Secondary (Federal or State) Highway (60m Right of way) 30meters from the centre.
Local Road (State) (24m, 18m, 15m, 12m) – 12m, 9m, 7.5m, 6m.
Access Road / Street 9 metres, 6metres from the edges.

Simply look at the pictures of the demolished structure, you will see that it is only that part that is at fault, not the entire building.

There re so many people's houses that were demolished, without anyone raising an eyebrow.
But been africans we re all here rantibg because this guy is famous.

The state has a master plan.
If the plan says that building is not meant to be there it shouldn't be there.

What this man is suppose to do is to seek for another land.
Most gorvnt wont ever demolish your house without conpesation so long you re right. Which i am sure he is nt.
You see people most especially in ibadan and osogbo also some parts of lagos building houses so close to the road... this is not rampart in northern part of the country.

The media will as usual never try to tell people why his house was demolished
Irrspective of the fact that he might be against the govt.. so long his house is not in the right place. The govt. Has everyright to uproot it.
Could remeber someyears back was aregbe was trying to demolish a church a mosque and a fillibg station in olaiya osogbo.. people keep talking.

You dont live in glass house and be throwing stones.

Irrespective of political association, religion or ethnicity, people should always call a spade a spade. The town planning guys said that house shouldnt be there. It shouldn't be.

I know people will come for me.
I dont care
You my friend are a fuckwit! Seriously you just defended the demolition of all erring enterprises. Tell me, which comes first, development or legislation? Where was your facking laws when that area was arid? Laws can indeed be moulded, so stfu! Gov only pay attention to developed lands while ignoring miles of bush. Who develops these lands before gov suddenly decides to impose legislation? You are an aimless slowpoke, inane observer.

Nigerians and foreigners need a naija gov that is pro development and enterprise.

Dont think the govt. Is not aware of any arid land around..there are town planners and when yinka ayefele started that place it was not an arind land.
That id challege for goodness sake.
Ooh you dont even know the place.. you just dont build stuctures so close to roads.
