Lagos and cosmetic construction. You are meant to serve the people. If they host a show in that stadium now ticket 5,000 what people can't afford. It's time that mediocrity and hypocrisy stops in our politics.

Nice.

But for every good work Ambode is doing, it reminds me of how dirty a place he's turned Lagos to.
What shall it profit Ambode if he reconstructs everything in Lagos but Lagos becomes very dirty and just awaits impending cholera outbreaks?
Ambo, did your village people come after your brain in this matter? Or do you or Tinubu have interest in VisionScape? Or are you just trying to spite Fashola for not backing your ambition initially? What has the masses got to do with that!

Fashola cleaned up Lagos and brought in a functional system of waste management using PSP operators. The private guys invested money to set up their companies. Instead of continuing with a working system, Ambode terminated their contracts just to bring in a company that has no capacity to handle waste in Lagos.

The PSP guys came every Saturday to pick up our trash from house to house but Ambode replaced global best practice with 2 waste bins that can't take wastes from 5 houses for a street of hundreds of residents. Now people dump their waste on the road or patronize aboki.s aka kongis who end up dumping them indiscriminately.

This is one reason I can never look for govt contracts or partner with them. No continuity in Nigeria and every new government ruins your investment without 'sending' you.

Another thing is the lack of transparency in his govt. Under Fashola, Lagos' budget was easily available online and one could easily cross-check with ongoing projects on ground. But Ambode has refused to reveal any information on cost of projects.
I guess this is what we get when Tinubu has a firm grip of Lagos governor. No wonder he kept fighting Fashola till date for wanting to do things the right way.
Please, we love the projects but we also want a cleaner and more transparent Lagos.

True words. Lagos is having so much road traffic challenge I wonder if this is really of priority to Lagosians than monorail and roads. This can't wait forever but the monorail project too needs completion ASAP.

Fashola wasn't all that successful in waste management too as many complained under his tenure. Ambode's waste management is no doubt really poor.

Wait o, are you referring to the same PSP? Did you mention door to door pickup? Guy, take it easy in praising Fashola. PSP were worse in my area, they come to my area, ring the usual bell to make known their presence and in less than 5 mins they are nowhere to be found. Despite handling an area of over 100 families living in that area.

We depended on those truck pushers for our waste disposal. If you also listen to radio, you will hear back then of many people complaining on air of the poor services rendered by PSP.

On this matter, nobody holy pass.

You are one of the people giving us hope to come back and read sensible comments on nairaland. Kudos.

To add salt to your wrote up, which project is he even doing that Fashola did not do? Fashola emba embarked on project, created visions, sanity ( you dare don’t pass one way OYO is your name) and cleaned up Lagos. God help that Ambode

I really like Ambode but he has turned Lagos to a very, very dirty city.I think Orile, Coker etc are the worst hit.The stench around these places is out of the world. You will see lots and lots of mangled trash on the bridge between Coker village and Orile and serious massive dirts strewn all over the sides of the main roads. When I passed through these places yesterday,I thought in my mind that Ambode has finally ruined Lagos. This is really getting out of hand.
