The storyline seems mediocre or at least a nollywood stereotype but the ensemble/array of old actors who we haven't seen in a long while sure makes me long to watch the movie.

No offense bro! And I must say that u are entitled to ur opinion... But from this trailer that I just watched, this movie is going to be everything wonderful and amazing that the word "mediocrity" won't even have a space to come out of critics mouths... not only will it open a lot more doors for Genny and Nollywood again like "Road to Yesterday" did for her and Nollywood in 2016 TIFF, but this time it will be something overwhelming... did u see the graphics, picture quality, the galaxy of stars in this movie,... a lot of ppl will be anticipating cos even if dem tell me say Me. P fit act before now I no go believe, Pyhno too, not to talk of our legends dem... just wait till this movie hits Nigerian and other African Cinemas... Even before the announcement of dates that it will start showing in the Cinemas, the tickets go finish for air before e reach ground!

We have been hearing of Nollywood blockbusters but Mehn! This will create another record for Nollywood blockbusters/box office to follow... Wedding party o, Wives of strike o, okafor's law, 76, 93 days, dry, 30 Days in Atlanta, 10 Days in Suncity o, etc which are very wonderful movies but dey will all be like a child's play to this movie (Lionheart) with the cash out in the Cinemas... I am not exaggerating... Na fact I dey talk!!!

This movie will definitely take Nollywood to another extraordinary level quote me anywhere...
I dey believe Genevieve's Doings!!! Infact I too dey believe her Workings pass anybody for that industry men and women alike!!!
Even Onyeka Onwenu confirmed this in her interview with Wazobia TV shortly after d shooting of this movie... she said "Genny knows what many of us that has been in the industry even before her doesn't know! Just wait and see her... she is coming...."

Sincerely speaking I have been following the making of this movie right from the time of casting, till date n I can't just wait to go see it when it finally hits the Cinemas!!!

Genny is really making Nollywood proud... imagine her first directorial debut come be like say she has been into it for ages...
Omoni Oboli and very few other ladies in the industry dey try too as regards production and content... But I give it to Genny she is something else... #LessTalkAndABillionAction!!!

The last movie she did (produced) titled "Road to Yesterday" is in Netflix and was even premiered in 2016 TIFF wre only she and Kunle Afolayo (October 1) wer given time in d event and interviewed and she was called "Nollywood Sweetheart". E come be this new one wey carry better content and better legendary squad from both movie and music industry no go dey Netflix...

Bro sincerely speaking, Nollywood don pass dat level of dat year wen u fit predict a movie from d beginning to the end n wen mediocrity was the oda of the day...

Now if dem do better movie, spend better money do movie, dem go first flex (premiere) am finish outside d country in world class film festivals, make der money finish, carry put for Netflix n some other better online money making platforms, before dem go reason carry am come Nigerian n other African Cinemas come chop der money again then if luck come fall d oda way, pirates fit see am now go duplicate but before den, dem don chop Belle full...

So bro, Nollywood don pass that old level d only regular movies u see around r d ones wey dem no too spend too much to produce na dem u dey see anyhow... But movie "a kworo ezigbo aka shie" (wey dem wash hand very well cook) dem no dey see am anyhow...

And yes! Her movies dey dey Netflix! Thanks!

actually the problem with Nollywood is often with budget and poorly told storylines..

If they increased their spendings on the production and made sure the stories are well told with attention to details, things would go better..

Nollywood is so good cos the stories are the things we could easily identify with- they're our own stories but are unfortunately told very poorly.

Yeah bro! It's a fact... we can actually relate to and with these stories unlike some so called alien fiction wey no fit happen and many of those so called alien nonsense can be very annoying... I like Hollywood movies especially their Epic movies. But some of there science fiction movies can be very annoying with almost zero content... Even d do called wakanda (Black Panther) wasn't Wat I was expecting... I was actually expecting a real African story not all those "let's show these whites dat we can do it even better" kinda movie... Cos for me thats d way I see that Black Panther! The movie is cool though but I was more disappointed than overwhelmed about it.
But truth be told, New Nollywood is better and cool now but there is always room for improvement!

I love your positivity and optimism.
The fact the you took your time to explain to that guy the beauty of the movie shows that you one of those few people that still sees good in nollywood...

Very interesting movie. Genevieve a highly focused lady ever since she started acting. No scandal, no going naked like these cheap ones we have everywhere today.

Go back and read the content of the post, the movie would be featured in an international film festival, just like how several other Nollywood movies have been featured. So no one is begging you to retrace your step, you don't matter a bit! The people that matter in the grand scheme of things are paying attention, and that's what matters.

God knows I've been waiting for this movie like forever! from the trailer, I wasn't expecting this. It ticks all the boxes of an international film. I'd surely be the first to see it when it comes out.

How will I spend my money to watch a movie that they already showed us everything we need to know.

A rich man fell ill and handed over the company to his brother when her only daughter thought it should be her cos of her qualifications. The company racked up debt and they had to save it before their fathers rival completely buys up the whole company.

What else do they need to tell us?

They really put much work in this movie. money too. Every effort worth it. My ticket is booked already.

Your opinion though but know that 99% of hollywood storylines you watch are mediocre and stereotyped.

I'm sure it is going to be a good film. But I agree with Ogtavia. From what I picked from the trailer, the storyline does not really stand out.

By the way, I feel like I've already seen the film from this trailer. Trailers shouldn't 'tell the full story'.
