I know it is a little bit absurd but Osibanjo`s best bet a becoming the president of Nigeria is now. If he contest along side Buhari he would probably win 2019 because he has the majority of the southwestern vote but after that what is next for his political carrier. Does he really think core north would leave a fellow northern and support him. This first tenure with Buhari has been the worst since 1999 and every person knows it. The young people of this country also know that both APC and PDP are one and the same. We support either based on tribal sentiment. Osibanjo should also be aware that Jagaban has his eye on presidency. Osibanjo seems to get the of the youth which constitutes more thn 65% of the voting population. He needs to find that young northerner that comes from the right family that his name will resonate well with the norther elite like say Yaradua`s son curruntly working in NNPC. The northern elites are not happy with Buhari but they have not found someone they can trust. Nigerians would be able to forgive and vote Osibanjo despite the sins of Buhari for now. Anybody that thinks Buhari`s second tenure would be better than his first is joking. The kind of killings that would happen would be beyond anyone`s imagination. The environment is calm because it is election season and the sponsors of these killers are on a low pending the outcome of the election. Leave APC and join party that has no religion or tribal sentiments to it. I believe Osibanjo can be a good leder but might never have the chance to lead if he does not act now.

I agree with your message.Osinbanjo will definitely win South west, North Central, South South and South East if he runs against Buhari. Not sure of North East and North West.

His time will come in 2023. Forget all that Igbo presidency poo. Igbo's are not even interested in presidency, they just need someone who can fix the economy so that import and export business can thrive.

And lose woefully.

Running on a buhari mandate and running on your own are two different things.

Why would the south east or even the south south vote for him?

How does that serve their political and economic interest.?
