Let’s face it, facebook is the world’s largest social media platform....which should mean enough market for your affiliate product, right? wrong!!




I’ll tell you how if you read this till the end, then i bet you, you’ll think twice about facebook ads before using it to promote your affiliate products.




Don’t get me wrong, i am not saying there are people it hasn’t worked for, like hell it does work for a lot of people…but i am on a voyage of helping folks who have nothing in their pockets…..




You may have bought courses, from gurus local and international, you must have found free courses or giveaways that helped you in a way…but ask yourself….does facebook ads really oil my engine?




In the first and previous post on why you shouldn’t promote your affiliate product with facebook ads, i discussed about the fact that facebook ads is actually an intrusion of people’s privacy, especially after what happened this year with facebook’s data breach…….

So you laid your hands on courses and all that… you have tried all you learnt on the facebook ad courses but nothing seems to be working…..
why?






First, you are spending so much money running facebook ads and facebook is always ready to take your money whether or not you convert your traffic…
......say you have a product to promote…you decide to facebook-ad the product.. if the product is new and alien to the market, chances are you will burn your hands and pockets while promoting that product. Even if you have a limited number of that product, chances of selling are slim…..but trust facebook to collect your money with open arms.






Second, most of the tools available for facebook ads, give wrong or mismatching information. in most cases the tools might not even have the information you need.. i remember when i had to promote an arthritis solution, to a country in europe…i targeted women and men above age 40, but my ad had to halt because, the keywords for my product were absent in the audience insights tool…. i was seeing an info i didn’t even need…
most times, no matter what happens, you may not get your ad in front of all the audience you targeted……..





Third, your ad can still appear in front of the wrong audience… you could decide to promote a product that helps mothers who just gave birth, to flatten their tummy. your age limit might be 21-35 and strictly for women…but at the end of the day you end up seeing that your ad was viewed by males or women above or below your selected age during the ad set compilation…





Fourth, the technicality of the ad tools, can pose an understanding issue for some people…
some people find it difficult to understand the tools needed for running facebook ads..you need to understand most of the tools for you to run effective ads.. and trust me facebook does a good thing at changing most, or some of the tools every now and then.. the only thing i enjoy in facebook ads, is the use of custom and look alike audience…..





Fifth, running facebook ads for mega countries like usa, uk, france, switzerland, canada etc, costs more than 2x the cost of running facebook ads for your home country.. to get the same amount of audience your ad will get in your home country when you run an ad for advanced nations, you will have to spend big and break the bank….
